OK sushi. Slow service, especially the second time, eventhough the bar wasn't full. My guests thought it was sub-par food and slow service.
I went twice in the last two weeks and they will be my last: the sushi "chef" expressed in Korean and English the sentiment that I was either eating into their profit or eating up too much of his energy. I paid for all-you-can-eat and enjoyed trying the array of small orders (I prefer the small orders because a lot of the rolls do taste the same). I'm a little person with a great metabolism, and I like to taste my food, not just chew thrice and gulp it all down. There's a one-hour time limit which they don't seem strict about...and I averaged 1.5 hours per "session."
At the end of the first visit, as I was getting up to leave, he actually boomed across the bar in a sarcastic tone something to the effect of "There's more. Don't you want more?" I wasn't sure what he meant... It didn't help that he had already muttered something in Korean in a tone and volume that made me wonder what got his goat, sometime after my 8th order--the energy among the others changed, tensed up.
When I made one last request at the end of the second visit (while in the company of three guests I was treating), he cocked his head to the side slightly with a really exasperated look. I wanted his nuts on the sushi rice.
Some people can eat a lot. It's factored into the price. The owner will hear about this matter, along with others online.
Avoid the red clam and shrimp rolls--rubbery insult to sushi.
I've been recommended "Sushi Express" in Cypress. Will try that option.
Joe's: $17.95 for lunch, $23.95 for dinner. We four did not think it was worth it.
Pros: rolls and more rolls, most tasting the same; great salad
Cons: they limit your sushi orders of the expensive stuff, slow service, moody "chef"

We decided to take our friend there for her Birthday dinner, it turned out to be such a bad idea the sushi wasn't fresh, small proportions. We were a total of 10 people we ordered all you can eat, a la carte and some drinks. The service was the worst after only being there for about 30 minutes we were rudely told that they needed our table. I understand for the all you can eat it was only for 1 hour but we were ordering other stuff a la carte and drinks, you would think they would be more considerate to that especially since we were a bigger party than others. We left with a bitter taste in our mouth. THIS BY FAR HAS BEEN THE WORST SUHI I'VE HAD AND WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!

Went for lunch and it was great! Can't wait to go back! The place is pretty small so I would avoid it on a Friday night, unless you are early. Like I said I can't wait.

Joe's is a very small quaint little neighborhood sushi bar. The service is great and food is fantastic. You can order individual or the "all you can eat" which most people prefer. The chef's will accomodate any special requests you may have and I find that service what sets them apart from the rest. It's been around forever and has a loyal clientele, I've lived near Joe's for over 15 years, any small business that's been around that long shows a reputation of excellence!
Pros: Great food, service and "special service"
Cons: a little tight on parking, get there early it fills up fast and is very small
