This place is fantastic. I've been looking for a solid neighborhood salon for some time and I finally found it! I love coming here. Everyone is super friendly and very good at what they do. Lisa was my stylist and she gave me a stylish cut and did a fantastic job. My hair still looks great. I have never been disappointed by my haircuts and I have recommended this place to two of my very picky friends and everyone be now obsessed.

I just moved to New York City from Florida and was lucky enough to move at the same time as my hair dresser, Owen. I live on 155th street and made sure to go all the way to brooklyn to have Owen do my hair. The salon is amazing, and Owen is extremely talented. Just walking 5 feet outside of the salon, I had three people ask about who had done my hair. Cut, color, styling ... I trust him with my life (for those of you who are as scared as me of someone hacking up your hair)
I HIGHLY recommend Owen for whatever hairstyle you're looking for!
Pros: Owen
Cons: NONE

Six years ago, I started going to Leila before she had her own salon. Now I live in Washington Heights, and I make the hour-long trek to see Leila for every haircut. She cares about every haircut and takes the time to give me exactly what I want. Leila is extraordinarily talented at cutting curly hair and has never disappointed me.
Moreover, she's an incredibly warm and caring person!
Tatiana also gives amazing haircuts, particularly for short, curly hair. I can't recommend Delilah Salon highly enough.
Pros: affordable cuts, friendly atmosphere

I've had many massages both in NYC at some of the top spas and abroad (in Italy, Croatia, Japan, etc) and the massage I had today surpassed any I've had before. The masseuse had the strongest hands I've felt for a woman. I like a firm massage and usually the masseuse doesn't have enough strength to last for the whole hour, but Vanessa had some of the strongest hands - stronger than many massages I've had done by males. Her technique was like no other - every spot she touched felt so good and she really worked out the knots I had in my back - you could tell that she was highly-trained. The massage also offered other small nice touches - which included a chocolate waiting for us on our massage bed, heated massage tables, a hot towel was pressed on our feet after our feet were massaged, eye masks for our eyes when we turned on our backs, etc. The spa itself is peaceful, warm, inviting, and clean. They did a great job with the design and layout of the spa. Our actual massage (we had a couples massage) took place in a room which had natural light coming through - which was a very nice touch.
Overall I would highly recommend this spa and the massages to everyone. I can't wait to start to tell my friends about this place, especially for those who live in Brooklyn - the location is convenient in Park Slope. But even for those who live in Manhattan - it's well worth the ride out. Again, Vanessa gave the best massage I've ever had and I look forward to going back to her!
Pros: Friendly Staff, Amazing Massage, Relaxing Atmosphere
Cons: None

I LOVE pizza. And I eat pizza almost every week, so I've had my fair share of pizza, but I must admit that THIS is the best pizza I've ever had. Which really surprised me because I live in Brooklyn near Grimaldi's - and I have always considered their pizza to be one of the best I've ever had.
After reading all this hype about Di Fara, I finally gave in and made the trek to Midwood. And I must say, it was not only worth the trip, but it was worth the wait.
Dom makes each individual pizza by himself. He really does use the freshest cheese and the most delicious tomatoes. He meticulously grinds the cheese for ever pie and then hand cuts the basil leaves for the finishing touch.
I ordered the regular round pie and when I took the first bite, I was hooked. The pie was baked to perfection and you can taste the freshness of the tomatoes and the cheese. After finishing a whole pie, I could see myself going for more (but I didn't.) I was full, but it was THAT good.
You should run there ASAP since Dom is the only one that makes the pizza but he's been scaling back the hours. He was open 7 days a week, then reduced it to 6, and now it's only open 5 days a week (closed Monday and Tuesday.) Hurry before it's too late and he retires! You don't want to miss it.
Highly recommended and totally worth the wait.
Pros: Delicious fresh pizza made right in front of you
Cons: Be prepared to wait... for a while

It's nice to have a place to go other than La Villa pizza (as good as La Villa is) for a big group to dine in Park Slope. Excellent food, complex flavors and textures. My fave is the skate, which is prepped in a unique, fanned-out cut, then broiled savory and crispy on edges, served with a silky smooth puree of cauliflower. I would love to try more dishes but I can't help ordering that one, twice now! My husband loves the lamb.
