They also have self help clinics. They meet you at the door and greet you. Their prices are lower than other stores and they accept returns with no questions.

Casanova is the landscaper that does almost everyone's lawn in my neighborhood for some reason. That's usually the only truck you see around. So, we hired them for a short time, but we felt that they were charging too much for the tiny little patch of grass we call our front lawn. We also had some weeds popping up,and for what we were paying, I felt there should be no weeds at all. So, we do it ourselves now and save some money. They are alright if you can afford it, and they do the job very quickly. The truck goes on and off my block in about 15 minutes because they have so many people working on the truck. They don't leave a mess behind and take all leaves and debris with them.

Thomas Newman Moving company is an old fashioned, small moving company that has been in my neighborhood for years. It's the kind of place that doesn't have to advertise because word of mouth brings in plenty of business. We were very happy when they moved us, and had no complaints about them. Their fees were reasonable, the movers were very careful with our furniture and belongings, they came on time, and they got everything moved into the new house with no problems at all. The moving men were very nice and courteous. If we ever move again, if Thomas Newman is still around, we will definitely call them again and recommend them to others.

We called Sears Carpet and Upholstery to have our carpet cleaned when we first moved into our first apartment. They came very late, several hours after the appointment time, and that was only after I kept calling. Then the person who came to clean the carpet acted like he didn't even want to be bothered to clean it, and like it was a big bother to run the big hose from our upstairs apartment to the truck. He ran the cleaner over the carpet a couple of times and told me that it wasn't going to come clean because it was actually worn out and not just dirty. He didn't offer any stronger cleaning solutions or anything. Just cleaned it a little, didn't want to move anything out of the way, and left. It's amazing how it came out clean when I finally bought my own carpet steamer. Save your money and buy your own carpet steamer.

When we bought our first house, we called J C Campbell contractors to come change some outlets because they were old and some didn't work.. When Mr. Campbell himself came over, he told us we needed all new wiring, as well as a new meter. So, he changed all the outlets, some fixtures and a new meter and charged thousands of dollars.
When I got my first electric bill, it was for hundreds of dollars! I called the electric company, and they said something was wrong with my meter and they would send someone to come look at it. J C Campbell installed it backwards! We called him immediately and he came and he thought it was funny! I had to take a day off from work so they could install it the correct way, and he never even said he was sorry or anything. I should have sued him.
Oh, and only 6 years later, a few of the outlets and one of the light fixtures are already broken.

This nursery isn't as big as some of the others, or as fancy, and doesn't have a humongous variety of plants, but the plants, bushes, trees and shrubs they have are very healthy and beautiful, and compared to some other nurseries in the area, are relatively inexpensive. The people that work there are very nice and helpful, and will help you find what you're looking for. I always come here first when I'm in the market for vegetable plants or flowers because I know I'll get a better deal here. I've been going here for years.
