went for a movie next door, looking for place to eat after the show and walked by this charming colorfull crowded place, thinking organic what can be good but let me tell you I have never had such good salmon in my life eating in ny top restaurants. it was crusted with olives served with black rice which was unreal amd fresh tomatoes, still tasting it. They have so much fresh and tasty offering. greta music, cool staff.
my friend had the steak sandwich which must be ny's best. I was amazed of how good the food is.
Siggy, the chef owner came out and say that she gives half the credit to the organic local ingredients.
treat yourself.
Pros: Salmon to die for
Cons: small space

I'm trying so hard to love this place, but they really don't make it easy!! the food is good, but every time i go (literally!) something happens that makes me leave totally unsatisfied.... from the $20 min on credit/debit cards (they offer a full counter of to-go goodies, coffee, etc for under that amount), to their staff's blase attitude, LONG waits for food, not to mention i just ordered a tuna sandwich to go and upon opening the container (i did so just 5 minutes after it was handed to me), i found the bottom piece of bread completely SOAKING wet, i guess from the sauce... for a $10 sandwich??? c'mon!! for the amount of $$ they charge, they need to learn to do things WELL and to treat their customers as if they're actually welcome!

It was above and beyond our expectations. we went to see a movie next door and came across this charming glowing little restaurant with many christmass lights. we thought it was just a coffee place and reading the menu we realized it was so much more, the dishes looked so different and uniqe that we've decided to try. I was blown away by the flavors and the quality and creativity of the dishes. the staff was so sweet and nice, nothing pretentious about this place, it is all about good things. the music was excellent, trying organic wine for the first time I was so surprised. I will recommend to everyone to try, and will make a special trip.
as for some of the negative reviews, people are spoiled and unfair when they don't get what they want.
go you will thank me.

We ordered lunch from Siggys and it was a completely disaster. They left items out of our order (that we paid for!) and wouldn't remedy the situation. Steer clear of their salads too -- I specifically asked whether they were substantial enough for a meal, was told yes, and then proceeded to pay 10 dollars for a box of lettuce. I had been warned about Siggys by others -- should have heeded that. To top it all off, the manager was completely obnoxious about the whole thing. If you're looking for organic/health food, check out the counter at Perelandra instead -- much better attitude and food.
Cons: rude staff, overpriced food

I did not expect such good food out of such a small, casual place. I had an excellent bowl of vegetable-barley soup. Just as important, there's good beer (i.e. craft beer, a.k.a. microbrew). This is a great place to stop before or after a movie at the theater on the corner.
Pros: Tasty organic chow, good beer

I always worry a bit when a restaurant is "vegan" or "organic" or whatever. I try to eat healthy, but sometimes places go a bit overboard. Siggy's, however, does a good job. The juices are too expensive for my budget, but they sure do look good. Their soups are fresh made, nice and chunky, and come with some delicious sourdough bread. We recently had a chicken special that was amazingly moist, tender, and tasty. The accompanying kale was cooked to perfection with some kind of spice that made it super delicious. They also have nice brown rice. The seats are very small, and it can fell cramped inside, but the waitstaff is very friendly and tries really hard to help you and make you feel welcomed. The restaurant is very convenient to the Clark Street subway station.
