Step inside the glass atrium and you'll be met by a smiling face. No glum Guses here. The staff is happy to have visitors of any shapes and sizes.
Best recent exhibits include Wegman's Funney?Strange (still up at the end of May) and Basquiat. Both collections were vibrant and well-curated.

I went on a Saturday, first of the month so I was able to escape a hefty admission charge but the security all but bit my head off when my small son accidentally fell near the mummy exhibit. I was rather impressed by that but most of the other things on display weren't anything amazing at all. A lot of it looked like abstract things that I could let my son paint for me instead of going somewhere to view it and admire the artist - I wasn't very impressed. It was OK. I guess I shouldn't gripe about a freebie!

Surely this museum is small compared to the ones in Manhattan but it is the biggest in Brooklyn. It has about five floors of artwork. There is definately plenty to see. The Egyptian exhibition is nice, they even have a real mummy. The front of the museum was recently renovated. Every first Saturday of the month the museum is free in the evening and they have a bunch of activities.

This museum is very small compared to the Met Museum. It also has a small selection of art. Its also very boring. The gift shop had overly priced souvenirs. The security guard was also very rude. I just went closer to see the artwork because I couldn't make out the details far away then the security guard but in and yelled at me. Sure, like I was going to destroy it. The art work was also very modern. They didn't have any classics. Which increased my boredom.
