This place is great for kids parties, and just for kids to go when the parents are working. The staff keep the kids occupied. For parties, you can close down the place and the kids can place and laugh and eat. They also have someone come in dressed up like a character of your choice to surprise them. The prices aren't bad, and its in a good neighborhood. You can drop the kids off before work or an event and be assured that they will have fun.

My children go to Rainbow and I'm so happy I sent them there. They are bright to begin with, and knew a lot already, but they just blossomed there. They learned their colors, shapes, alphabet, numbers, and especially how to get along with others. The staff is so caring and they love the kids and you can see it. I don't mind leaving my children there knowing they are in their good hands. The facillity is very clean and the kids are happy to be there. My children will definitely be ready for school when the time comes.

Story Book land Nursery School is located near the main shopping street of 86th street and next to private residential homes. The owner actually transformed an actual house into a nursery home to children. Outside, there is a large banner displayed the Story Book logo in baby blues and pink lettering. Inside is a well decorated and full of toys and play kitchens and tables for the children to amuse themselves with. Adorned on the walls are the children's artwork and drawings. It is a great place for the kids to spend the day.

My title should say it all - in other words - snob city. This is a very small private school with teachers that are second rate. My friend's son went to kindergarten there and he was not taught a lot. The majority of the kids who attend are spoiled brats and the parents are, for the most part, very unpleasant and stuck up people who judge you by the size of your wallet and the make of your vehicle. They try to make it sound like they are concerned educators, but fact it, they have a high teacher turn over rate, as I constantly see ads in the local paper asking for teachers. They charge very high rates for tuition but the facilities are old and shabby and they dont even provide lunch.
There are far better places to send one's child.
Pros: Small class size
Cons: inadequate teachers

I had a short but memorable experience at Tutor Time in Brooklyn. It was by far the worst childcare I have ever experienced, and I have been involved with a few daycare centers. Because tutor time is a chain center, there are many corporate policies and procedures which must be adhered to. Policies that are ridiculous because they involve children. Such as, a child who bites another child (a very common behavior for a 2 year old) will be suspended!! In addition to the crazy policies, some of the staff acted like they were in junior high - talking about the children and their parents behind their back. Management at this location is very weak.
Keep looking - there is much better childcare out there.

We took our daughter to classes at Music together and she loved it and had a great time! She loves anything to do with music or dancing, so this was perfect for her. I think it's much better than similar classes like Gymboree music classes. The teachers were great and you could tell that they really enjoyed what they did. All the kids had a great time and it was a lot of fun for them. I wish my son were younger so he could go, because he would really enjoy it too.

If your kids like baseball or any sport, they will love the Hit Zone. This is a new place that has indoor baseball and other sports. My son just went to a birthday party there and he had a lot of fun. They have batting cages and other things revolving around baseball (can you tell I'm not a big baseball fan?), and I think they are starting a program related to basketball. All I know is that the kids love it and if you have a Hit Zone party in this neighborhood, you are very cool!
