I was in the Bay Ridge Nissan on Sunday morning, 11/08/2009 for just looking cars only. Salesman Igor & Sales Manager Dmitry asked to fill in an application for the future. He has taken my credit card for check up my Credit History.
I have looked 2 years old Nissan Rogue & managers didn’t allowed for me try it on the street & even start up the engine! It seemed to me strange. The car has passed for complete two years only 8000 miles (333 ml/month or 11 ml/day). It is may be possible, but in the shop there were a few more cars with small mileage! I have thought that odometer may be has rolled back…
I have left from Dealer Shop at 3 o'clock & shop was closed at 5:00 PM.
At evening I have found out that my credit card was charged by Bay Ridge Nissan on $500!
On Monday 11/09/2009 at 10:00 AM my wife has come to the Shop for reception of explanations & has told them that we refuse purchasing and that in the evening we shall come back for reception of return $500. Managers have answered that is not present problems and they wait for us at 6 o'clock.
At 6:00 PM my wife, her sister with husband, and me have come in the shop.
Salesman Igor, Sales Manager Dmitry, and Financier Roman become to compel us to purchase the car. They 4 times changed the price and completely we have confused. It was the very persuasive service, believe for me please!
They have offered to pay:
- License Plate Fee $350 (according to DMV information $25 only!)
- Title Fee $800 (according to DMV information $50 only!)
- Registration Fee $399 (Should include two specified above positions)
- Bank’s Loan open Fee $800 (according NYS Law $75 only!)
- Preparation Fee $399
Roman & Dmitry have told: if I shall replace the Bank, he will increase the car price for $3000! This condition is not good for me and I have the right to refuse.
We have understood clearly that they are slickers and have asked immediately to return $500 and have received a refusal. Manager Dmitri has told to us that will leave this money to self as he has spent for me two hours…
The personnel have become rough and unpleasant. Manager Dmitri has refused to inform his last name & License # of the Dealer Shop. He has become to threaten to us! He has very angry & has told to security to not pass up us in the shop. During 58 years of my life I never tested of such humiliation!
I have left from the shop without the car but it is not my fault! The business should be conducted fairly!
In a summary You have to look “Bay Ridge Nissan Fraud Alert!” on the Ripoff Report website.
Pros: This shop - a shame for America!
Cons: Managers are swindlers!

They run false ads on cable. Took my deposits on a 2009 Murano they NEVER intended to deliver. Made you wait nearly 2 months for the promised car at the promised price only to tell me that the price has gone up over $60 since I SIGNED the CONTRACT, all while blaming me for the program changes, when all Idid was deal with them in 100% good faith. The test-drive was a joke as mentioned elsewhere.
The manager named Charlie is rude and obnoxious. The finance guy Mitch treats you like a 12 year old. I walked out. Unbelievably, when I called for my $$100 deposit back I am told I must go in! And even then the manager Barry is asking; “What can we do?” Do you believe the balls on these people?
I will tell you what you can do, Barry: Either give me the car at the AGREED upon price or leave me alone.
By the way, I walked out and made a deal for $80 more on Staten Island only 1 hour later. Sometimes, it’s just the principal.
Pros: none
Cons: everything

I wish I read the reviews or listened to their previous customer to stay away from this dealership. They are lying in every aspect including if your deal going bad to give you the refund. Read the paper if you shall be as silly as me to actually go there. REFUND IS DUE AT ANY POINT IF YOU HAVE NOT SIGNED THE OWNERSHIP OF THE CAR. They are now coming up with any reason including some flakes picking up the phone instead of general store manager to process the refund due. Besides the fact they lied to us ever going for NMAC bank. I know this for a fact because there is no inquiry of NMAC on our credit report and now another dealership is working with NMAC and there is no record of us ever being filed with NMAC. Usually after 30 days the bank erases all the information but it has only been 7 days!!! I wish I had the paper to show to my friend who works for DMV dept as investigator. Unfortunately that fraudulent paperwork they grabbed out of my hand really fast. They need to burn in hell together with their sister store in Manhattan ... don't be fooled. They are one pair that work together. Both lie in say manner. STAY AWAY!
DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THEM I HOPE ALL THEIR FAMILY GETS TREATED AS THEY TREAT OTHERS.
Pros: NONE
Cons: EVERYTHING

I stupidly bought my first car ever from them about 2 years ago, not knowing about it's problems and was forced to pay for repairs that should have been covered by the extended warranty. The time came to get a new car, so I "test drove" (which was just a drive around the block). I wanted to talk leasing numbers, and they told me that I needed to get insurance on the car (whose price was still unknown to me) and gave me a VIN# on the way out. The next day, I refused to get insurance without knowing the price, so I went back down there, and they wouldn't tell me anything. Needless to say, I had to cancel my deposit, and I leased my car someplace else, where they told me all costs upfront with no tricks. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!

This place is full of crooks. I can't get into specifics because I am in the process of filing a legal grievance against these people. I hope nobody ever has to go through the hell that I have with them. I can't even enjoy my new car because it reminds me of that DUMP.
Pros: NONE NONE NONE
Cons: Man, if I had the time to list them all.

I am currently going through a process with the better business burea, the attorney general' s consumer fraud dept, and contacting a private lawyer. The customer service was TOP NOTCH when they wanted to hook me into making a purchase, once the purchase was made...I couldn't get any one to speak to me. I purchased a 2005 pathfinder. I brought a male figure with me to inspect the vehicle. We noticed a few cosmetic problems which the salesman promised would be fixed. Being that we were only able to drive the vehicle around the block...we didn't notice any mechanical problems. When I returned to pick up the vehicle the cosmetic problems were not fixed. They told me they ordered the parts and they would call me when the parts came in to bring the vehicle back. Within the first few days I noticed a lot of mechanical problems: transmission doesn't shift properly, smell of gas inside the car, belt began to squeal, fluid leaking in my driveway. I called NUMEROUS times before "Hamdy" my salesman finally called me back. He told me the parts should be in ANY day and when I brought the truck in they would address my concerns.
MORE problems arose as I waited! I called NUMEROUS times again. I finally told Hamdy I have to bring the truck in...I can't wait for the parts.
I was basically told by a weasely manager named "LEO" that ALL of my concerns are cosmetic and since I did not purchase the extended warranty he will not help me.
I was also told that the parts that I was waiting for had never been ordered and due to the cost of these parts they are NOT ordering it!!
SO MUCH MORE TRANSPIRED...PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I WILL TELL YOU!!
BUT WHATEVER YOU DO...DON'T BUY A CAR HERE!!!!!!

These guys are overly eager to get you to sign on the dotted line, then forget you exist as soon as they've got your money. Just trying to get someone to call me back was a frustrating nightmare. I was even hung up on by the manager named Paul when we disagreed over dealership policy. The extra fees were never disclosed (etching fee? delivery fee? give me a break) which inflated the cost of the car by well over $1,000. Then our salesman never called us when our permanent plates arrived, leaving us with an expired tag for about a week. Even then, we only found out our plates arrived because WE called the dealership. This dealership is full of unprofessional, selfish and uncaring people. I'd rather walk than buy a car from these incompetent jerks. Wish I could return it. I only gave this place one star because I didn't have the option of giving it NO stars. Buyers beware - go elsewhere. Unless you're a masochist.
Pros: None
Cons: Everything from the minute you walk in until the minute you leave. And FORGET communicating via telephone.
