I've only been here twice, but both time left me happy and satisfied. The waiters/waitresses are friendly and treat you like family -- I remember one waitress who warned me to eat my dinner before my dessert. The food is good -- soups, sandwiches, etc. and reasonably priced. They sell adorable molded chocolate that makes a great gift for anyone.

The Blue Pig has great ice cream, I've been to the this one in Brooklyn and the one in the City. The cool thing is that the Brooklyn location recently merged with it's next door neighbor, the Busy Chef (which I also go to for lunch and dinner). This makes things really easy and was a smart move, now you can get your meal and dessert in the same spot, it's truly the best of both worlds.

Jasmine's Sweet Shop is a great local place to take care of your sweet tooth. I was hesitant to try the diet ice cream but WOW! It is actually pretty good. My husband enjoys the sorbet. For those who prefer ice cream they have tons of flavors. The shop also carries candy-making supplies such as molds and melting chocolate. Jasmine’s is the perfect place to check out on a hot summer night or all year round.

Horrible! Horrible! Very recently I went to Haagen Daz in Kings Plaza, Brooklyn, New York. What a nightmarish experience. Omigod! None of the employees were using gloves to dip the ice cream! I requested to speak to the manager and told him that his employees should be wearing gloves because their hands was touching the ice cream and not to mention the fact that the employees were also handling the money. The manager played stupid and told me that they were not required to wear gloves. I am going to contact the health department. I'm sure they have a lot to say.
I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy.
