The date of the wedding is October 1st, thus leaving time for alterations, I was told I could call or your store would contact me once it arrived. At the end of July I called to find out the status and was told not to worry it would definitely be here by mid August. Believing your store was reputable I was not concerned. I was a little skeptical at first after reading some of the other reviews, but from the moment I walked in with my daughter (sweet 16 dress, we were treated wonderfully. Their staff was pleasant and so friendly. They altered my daughter's dress to perfection and she looked stunning when we left the shop. Read the reviews on the place. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS! Do yourself a favor and don't go to this place. This is the most unprofessional place i have ever seen. You don’t want to ruin your special day by trusting these people. When selling you the dress, they are super nice. They tell you, you look gorgeous (no matter what you put on...even if you know you look terrible). Then they tell you the alterations will make the dress perfect on you (even if nothing fits right). Once you pay the deposit, it all goes downhill. The next time you come in, they won't even look your way. The sales people promise you alternations that the seamstress cannot deliver. They lie just to make the sale. Even if they give you a good price, it's not worth going with this place. They will end up making empty promises. There is nothing worse than that! Once you realize that the alterations you were expecting, are not possible, they refuse to refund you your deposit. On top of everything, the people in the store are all fake, untrustworthy, unprofessional, rude and unpleasant. The store itself is filthy. You definitely don't feel like you are going to a place that will give you something of good quality at the end. I lost my deposit feeling that it's better to lose money than having them ruin my special day. Although there prices are decent and the selection is ok, STAY AWAY. The experience is not worth it. There are plenty of places where you can go, where you will not get screwed at the end. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR WEDDING, PROM or PARTY. The sales people are just plain terrible!

OMG...I wish I would have read these reviews before I went to Lestan's! The customer service was absolutely horrible!!!!!!! I was with my mom looking at MOB dresses and the there was one dress that we liked but we needed to think about it because it was very pricey. The sales lady was telling us we needed to make a decision NOW...do we like the dress or not? I told her off and told her that I've never seen sales people force customers to buy things....and asked her if she would like to pay for the dress herself. That shut her up, but she still had the nerve to give us her business card and told us to call her if we wanted the dress. I would NEVER buy anything from that store! We went to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place that same day and bought the very dress we saw in Lestan's. The customer service there was great!

I was married in September and order my dress as well as my 8 bridal attendent dresses from Lestan's. Everytime we walked in the store they treated us like superstars! I'll admit that Eva in Bridesmaids and Terry in Bridal are the names that stand out but everyone was always great! Yes, some dresses were ordered two sizes larger than our average sizes but that is at the suggestion of the designers. I've had this done at other bridal shops as well. A few of my bridesmaids ordered dresses without being measured and the dresses were very snug. Some even had to have their dresses let out but everyone at Lestan's was very accommodating. Lestan's has all the designers, in the styles you want to try on. There prices can be a little high but that seems to be the trend in the wedding industry. Besides, my experiences have been favorable so I'm wiling to pay for quality work. I don't know any other bridal store that gives you what yo get at Lestans. Have patience. Acknowledge that Lestan's is one of the most popular places in town and it might get a little crazy afterwork and on Saturdays and you'll go a long way and your bridal party will be beautiful. You won't be sorry!

Almost two years after my wedding, I am still upset about the experience I had with Lestans. Looking at the reviews that other people wrote, I am should not be surprised that I thought this store was TERRIBLE. I got my dress from Lestans in Brooklyn and I DO NOT recommend them. First, their service is extremely poor and their facility is dirty. The sales staff extremely rude. When I came in for my first fitting, it took them an hour to find my dress. The woman in charge of the store did not even offer to remove a black dirt mark that was on the dress when I pointed it out -- she just told me not to touch it or it will get worse-- I actually had to ask her have it removed. They did a horrible job altering my dress and, after three tries couldn't fix the bead work that they messed up. To top it all off, after I paid for my dress in full, they made me sign a release saying their alterations were to my liking and refused to give me my dress (after I paid for it) until I signed the release. Please save your self all of the aggravation and find a better place to buy your dress.

I must admit that after reading some of the horrible reviews on this site, I had to comment. I was wed last May in which I got my bridesmaids dresses from Lestans. I was pleasantly approached by a salesperson named Eva. Eva assisted me a great deal, with patience and reassurance during my times of uncertainty. I must commend her on her great sense of detail and honesty, which made my job as a "bride to be" a lot easier! Whereas, I am sure that Lestans train their staff to be "professionals," I would highly recommend that you ask for Eva!

After reading all of these awful reviews about Lestan's on this site, I really thought I should speak up. I visted Lestan's over this past weekend on a search for my wedding dress. This was my first visit to Lestan's, and the third bridal shop I had visited in the New York area. I had Etty as my personal consultant, and I was very pleased with her help and service. The other shops I had visited really had no idea what I was looking for, even after showing them pictures of the dress styles I liked. Etty, however, brought out gown after gown that matched my style PERFECTLY. She made suggestions throughout the process as to what I might like and how I might build upon my wedding dress ideas, and every time, she was *right on the money.* I finally felt like I was being listened to and understood! All through the trying-on process, Etty was there to help me into and out of gowns, and to supply various veils and numerous pieces of jewelry so I could get the real feel of what I might look like on my special day. In the end, I found a perfect dress at Lestan's that was not only beautiful, but WELL within my budget. I can't believe I found a such a gorgeous gown for such a bargain price! I also should note that the girls at Lestan's went beyond the "call of duty" and referred my mother, my bridesmaid and I to a local restaurant and give us the directions as well. It was as good as they said it would be! Anyway, given all of the negative reviews of Lestan's on this site, I FULLY intend to keep all brides updated throughout this process -- GOOD AND BAD -- as I have my gown delivered to and altered by the workers at Lestan's. Another horrible story. Lestan was supposed to order the bridesmaid dresses in January and didnt do so until March because of a 'mix up'. Then they tried to deny it and balmed the dresses for coming in late because they were held in customs for a month. Then the jackets came in a different color and material than the dress. So of course they would not express ship the new jackets and it took well over 2 weeks to receive them. The jackets came in about 5 days before the wedding date we gave them, which isnt a lot of time to do alterations. Like the other stories, my dress was also too large and too long. They told me i could come in for a fitting on a sunday. When i came in they told me there is never a seamstress in on sundays! Then they told me to come in on Thursday and said i would defiantly be able to get fitted. And when i called again they asked why i didnt make an appointment when they never told me i needed one. Now the lady i was talking to for a while that was the 'manager' tells me that the real manager is conveniently away on vacation this week. I will not receive any compensation or apology for the rude customer service and all the lies i heard. NEVER buy from Lestan!!!! Save yourself the hassle.
