Absolute Power in located in a basement on Grand Street, but don't let that fool you. It's a great open space, lined with mirrors, with bunches and bunches of weight machines and rows of stationary bikes and treadmills. Wait times for machines are generally short, if there's one at all, and although I wouldn't serve meal off the floor of the locker room, it is clean. There's a separate rooms for fitness classes, and the best part is that people are there to work out, not to stare at each other. I don't recall exactly what the membership fee is, but it's less than a lot of the big name city gyms.
