I gave them my prescription sunglasses to fix, as the arm had broken off. They said they has to send it out for two days. They came back a few days late and they said "no charge". When I picked them up, they had been soldered beyond repair, basically burned the arm back on, but they cant fold nor be worn, as they soldered them WAY too wide for my face. They can't be repaired elsewhere and I am now searching for a brand new pair elsewhere. Not good. Pros: Friendly Cons: Ruined my prescription sunglasses

I've opted for Eyes on the Slope for years. Not only can I get a solid eye exam, but the extensive eyeglass offerings are stylish, varied and up to the minute. Their optician was born to help you choose the correct frames for your face. They really know their stuff here. Also, I was having trouble with the comfort of my contact lenses and the optometrist was willing to work with me until I found the right brand. That's dedication.

My fellow Park Slopers, you have to believe me when i say that i had the best experience with choosing my glasses at eyes on the slope. I thought i looked terrible in glasses, until eddie took the time in showing me the different styles that fit and actually work for me. He took his time with me, and that is what i liked best. Now, i don't take my glasses off! Out of all the stores i visited, i felt as though they had the largest selection, and they gave me a really good discount off my frames and lenses. I'll continue to shop for any future glasses that i need only at eyes on the slope. The staff treats the customers like their own family, and they really are experts with choosing and making glasses. My glasses were done the next day! I couldn't ask for anything more. Pros: Took time with me

Shopping here was a big mistake. I brought my very nice frames in and ordered lenses. They messed them up twice-forgetting to do first the anti-reflective coating I asked for, then forgetting to make the lenses thin. I had to come back three times, and it made me nervous to have my expensive frames in their hands. One employee explained their errors by repeating "things happen". Also, they are more expensive than the other shops on 7th avenue. Cons: poor service, rude employees, rip-off
