I used to work here, so I know all the ins and outs of the place. The Italian ices are really good, especially the vanilla one. I also enjoyed the rainbow cookies and they had a great selection of breads and birthday cakes. The cheesecake, however, wasn't good. The fresher cakes are kept closer to the window (in other words the cake that is hardest to get out of the fridge). Beware of sanitary conditions at this bakery. I once saw a hair baked right into the napoleon pastry, which I think was sold to a customer. Also, the boxes of biscotti are packaged by employees, so think about how many hands touch them before you buy these. The cream puffs were okay, but I've tasted better. As for cakes, I'd prefer going to a Chinese bakery, where the cakes are light and fluffy and delicious. Scotto's is somewhat below average and a little pricey.
