I went to the store after browsing through their website. They have an awesome array of unique wedding rings.
They carried the designer, but not the specific style I wanted to see, so they ordered a sample band for me from the designer. While I was still contemplating (about 2-3 weeks after seeing the ring), they called me to notify me that the store was starting a sale on all wedding bands -- 10% off. I remember thinking that it was a great way to make me come back -- and it worked! I bought the ring through them, and they delivered as promised. They also helped me get the band resized and adjusted until I was completely satisfied. All along the way, they gave me updates and acted as my advocate with the designer. It was truly a worry-free experience.

This place is an awesome idea for kids and adults of all ages. They have different statue like objects that you can paint yourself as you please. They have clown and ballerinas for the younger crowds or famous figures like albert einstein and others like him for the older people. You can actually find practically anything there for all tastes. After you paint the object of your choice, they glaze it and dry it. When its all ready, it makes a nice thng to hang on the wall or give to a loved one. Highly recommended.

This little workshop has a small but tasteful choice of pottery you can paint. It's a bit expensive, but the friendly and efficient service makes up for it. Painting there can make anyone with an artistic talent's day, and the beading is good for kids age 6-10. Have fun!

There aren't many places to stop for art supplies in Park Slope. I recently noticed a new place on 5th Avenue, but it is in a totally different part of the neighborhood than Seventh Avenue Art Supplies. Anyway, this store is small and doesn't have a very big selection of supplies for the serious artist, who will probably want to go to Pearl Paints, but it is a good place to stop for art supplies for kids or for yourself if you are an amateur artist.

There are many home stores in Brooklyn, so go to all of them and look at the things you want to purchase. Then go to Telco and purchase it because it will be significantly cheaper there. Everyone knows that Telco is the place to go to get fancy towels - you know the ones with the material, lace or flowers on them. People travel as far as Park Slope to this Bensonhurst store because of the good prices. The store looks a bit cheap looking, but who cares as long as you are getting a deal.

This is one of those cute stationery/school supplies stores. If you're a student or a teacher, this place is great because it has everything: notebooks, rulers, pads, chalk, trinkets, and has laminating services as well. Just walk through one day and browse through their stuff. I found this mini-sunglasses that I use when I make my own dolls. They have all kinds of neat stuff for people into crafts and the prices are pretty cheap.

Stain Bar serves coffee and sandwiches during the day, and beer and wine by night. The setup looks similar to Central Perk (Friends), and there's free wi-fi. It's open very early to very late, and the manager/former ad exec has great advertisements up all over the walls.
