For a smaller market, this place is excellent. They have all the things you really need, and then they have surprising little items (pomegranite apple cider, random special imported foods, good deli meats). The store is really nice and clean, and it's quite pleasant to shop here. The location right by the St. Mary's T stop on the C line is very convenient, and street parking isn't too hard to find. They have a rack with 99 cent cards for all occasions, which is fun and handy. A really good alternative to the big supermarkets.

Sometimes I just can't bring myself to face Shaw's. If you only need a quick jug of milk or a loaf of bread, Johnny's is the place. It's small but has a decent selection, and really good prices.
And the thing is, every time I go, I think that I should go there more often. The produce is good. The meat looks good. The bakery and deli look really good. They have name brand selections in the grocery aisle.
It's conveniently located at the St. Mary's Stop of the Green Line "C" Train. They also have parking in the back, but no access to the store through the back. Metered parking is at times very easy.
Give Johnny's a try!
