Just like mom's house. Not once did I get the feeling that I was just a customer. Everyone at that place treated me with such respect, patience, and courtesy without rushing me at all. Customer service gets an A+! Food... oh lord, the food. My mouth is watering just thinking about their mussels, salmon, mozzarella/avocado pasta, and their cannoli dessert. This is hands down the best Italian restaurant I've been to, service-wise and food-wise.

We go for lunch every Friday and always have great service. The people are friendly and helpful. The pizza by the slice is always hot and fresh. The lunch specials are more than reasonably priced and I have never had a problem with a substitution. Great job Paisans!

The people at Hey Vivs makes their hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, steak sandwiches, etc etc by flame broiling the meat. The sandwiches taste great and the store smells great on the inside. Fast food made to order. It may take some time to make, but they dont fool around, and you get a high quality product as a good price.
The Hey Vivs staff is young, hip, they love to have a good time, yet they work their butts off to please the customer. Mad props to the Hey Vivs staff!!!
There are many made to order fast food places on Ogden in Brookfield, but Vivs does the job the best.

I've been to the irish times on numerous occasions now after moving to the area, its a great place to go to chill out after work with a nice pint of Guinness poured to perfection and a tasty appetizer (try the corned beef bites), i've tried alot of items on the menu but the fish and chips is one of my favourites, its all you can eat on fridays too!!! Im always served with a smile from the pretty servers and bartenders. Great Great Great beer garden!!!!! One of the best for miles......... What more can i say, just try it for yourselves, you will not be dissapointed.
Pros: Great 'craic, great food, great beer selection, friendly servers

Dahlings, I have know zis place zince 1975... I was a wary young girl zen and wary beautiful. I am older now, but even more beautiful, can you believe it! Anyway dahlings, zee restaurant was zen and is still... mahvelous! Zee liver dumpling soup... of course I never tell anyone one, but each time I eat two big bowls, dahlings! And the svichkova... succulent beef wit such a yummy tangy gravy... and pork loin, roast duck... dahlings I'm zo zorry but I make me so hungary (zee! I make a funny!) I am going zere right now!

People, the Brookfield restaurant, with the giant cow on top, ROCKS. It's old-style breakfast palace at its finest. With the giant vintage revolving pie case alone, it is worth a trip there with your Chicago Tribune to eat breakfast. I live out of state and EVERY time I am in Chicago, I make a trip to the Brookfield Restaurant. Why? Mostly because of the pie case, hypnotically revolving its pies, but the service is good, the food is delicious, and the old school decor. It feels like home.
