First, the food at Greer's is superior. In a lifetime of eating friend chicken (I'm 57), I'd have to say that the Greer's recipe is third best in the world. The first two, just so you'll know what a compliment that was, belong to my wife and my mother-in-law. So I've never eaten better chicken except at my own dinner table. The macaroni salad, cole slaw, and baked beans are fresh-made and delicious. Best of all the side dishes, however, is the potato salad which manages to be both dense in flavor and light in texture. Second, the folks who work there are first-class people. Richie, the owner, received an award for community service earlier this year from the Chamber of Commerce. He works as hard for Bristol as he does for his business, which is saying a lot. After years of day-after-day labor, Richie has finally managed to build a schedule that allows him at least to take occasional breaks and days off. He can do this because the kids who work for him are helpful, friendly, and as dedicated as Richie to their work. Third, A.A., the person who wrote the negative review, was clearly confused. No one at Greer's would act as was described here. More concretely, though, GREER'S DOESN'T DELIVER. You can, if you like, call in an order, get a time when it will be ready, and drive there to pick it up. It will not come to you because--to repeat--there is no delivery. If you waited two hours without getting your delivery, called to complain, and then were treated rudely, you obviously placed your call to some other business. Someone owes the good folks at Greer's an apology. The rest of us know just how good Greer's chicken can be and how special are the people who work there.

We have been eating chicken from Greers for more years that I can remember. The chicken is great, the salads are always tops and the baked beans - the best. I dont usually write reviews but I am very upset with one that was written - dated 2-08 First of all - the owner is Rich - one of the nicest guys these is. By no means can I imagine his talking like that to anyone - let alone a customer. He has mostly kids working for him - and they are ALL the nicest group of kids. You must have dialed the wrong number!!!! 3 cheers for Greers, Rich and all his staff!!! A Very Happy Greer's Customer - and Family!!!

I recently ordered food for delivery from Greers Chicken. After two hours of waiting for the food, I called and asked what the hold-up was and was told to come down and see for yourself. I then asked to speak with the manager as I was reasonably upset. I was put on the phone with Ron, the manager/owner, who proceeded to yell at me: do you want the f***ing order or not?. I don't know about the food, but this restaurant definitely left the worst taste in my mouth.

Top the meal with a melt in your mouth roll and you have the best dinner imaginable. Greer's catered my daughter's preschool Halloween Party, what a favorite for the kids. Enjoy.
