I had been experiencing pain in one of my molars for quite some time but was hesitant to seek dental work because I had no insurance and very little income at the time. I came across Aspen Dental and made an appointment because they advertised low costs and flexible payment plans. After a consultation I was told there was nothing wrong with the tooth I had complained about, however, I needed four other cavities filled. A few months later the teeth the dentist filled began aching and the pain in the tooth I orginally complained about had grown much worse. Finally it became unbearable and I found a different dentist. Turns out I had a horrible cavity in that tooth for quite some time, and now need a root canal surgery which is going to cost me $2000.00! Had the cavity been properly taken care of when I first went to Aspen Dental I would not need this surgery. I have yet to find out what is wrong with my other teeth, but I strongly urge people NOT to go to this place. I have now done my research and have heard nothing but terrible reviews about this place. I'm very upset I ever went there in the first place. Don't make the same mistake.
Cons: Damaged my teeth...enough said

I went to Aspen Dental for a crown, in Bristol, CT.
They told me the maximum would be $330, they then changed it to $330 approximately and I agreed to that amount.
They made it very clear it would be the final bill and not a penny more, regardless of the dental contract, since it was a promotional plan.
A year has gone by and they haven?t removed the extra amount of $279.36, which they agreed to remove by phone conversations.
Now they claimed they never made such a statement.
They are now saying the crown was never made, a build up was made, and isn?t covered by the insurance company dental plan.
I?ll be looking for another dental company.

I started out at Aspen Dental in Torrington, but got poor customer service there. So I decided to switch to Aspen Dental in Bristol, which is also closer to my house. I called to make an appointment and they told me to call the office in Torrington and request that my file be transfered and call back in a few days to make an appointment. At that point I was already frustrated. Having worked in health care for over 10 years myself, I know they could have made the appointment for a week or so in the future then called the Torrington office themselves to get my file. But I did it. Now I call them to make the appointment only to find out they are not accepting new patients. Why not tell me this on my initail phone call? I only have one enrollment period at the beginning of the year, so I guess I am without a dentist til Jan of next year. I do not reccommend either Aspen Dental in Bristol or Torrington.
Pros: The office was clean
Cons: The front office staff is unprofessional, unorganized and not helpful.
