The Boston Creme donuts are heaven. I've made quite a few people get hooked on them-And I have tried many cheesecakes, mail orders, special orders you name it and none have tasted like their cheesecake. Excellent! And the staff there has always been accommadating especially if they run out of those Boston Creme's they will go in the back and make you some. Very pleasant experience with hometown service

A friendly locally owned family business that has been around for decades. The food is fabulous and filling and th service is professional and friendly. The prices are extremely reasonable. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. I highly recommend the lasagna!

This is a local restaurant which has the most amazing pizza! We had a casual, comfortable dinner in their back room with every kind of pizza (the Hawaiian pizza is THE BEST!), a HUGE chef salad and breadsticks and soda/beer/wine. It was the perfect choice to support a local restaurant (whose family are my old neighbors), eat great food, and just feel relaxed! GREAT value for money and specials offered.

First, the food at Greer's is superior.
In a lifetime of eating friend chicken (I'm 57), I'd have to say that the Greer's recipe is third best in the world. The first two, just so you'll know what a compliment that was, belong to my wife and my mother-in-law. So I've never eaten better chicken except at my own dinner table.
The macaroni salad, cole slaw, and baked beans are fresh-made and delicious. Best of all the side dishes, however, is the potato salad which manages to be both dense in flavor and light in texture.
Second, the folks who work there are first-class people.
Richie, the owner, received an award for community service earlier this year from the Chamber of Commerce. He works as hard for Bristol as he does for his business, which is saying a lot. After years of day-after-day labor, Richie has finally managed to build a schedule that allows him at least to take occasional breaks and days off. He can do this because the kids who work for him are helpful, friendly, and as dedicated as Richie to their work.
Third, A.A., the person who wrote the negative review, was clearly confused.
No one at Greer's would act as was described here. More concretely, though, GREER'S DOESN'T DELIVER. You can, if you like, call in an order, get a time when it will be ready, and drive there to pick it up. It will not come to you because--to repeat--there is no delivery. If you waited two hours without getting your delivery, called to complain, and then were treated rudely, you obviously placed your call to some other business.
Someone owes the good folks at Greer's an apology. The rest of us know just how good Greer's chicken can be and how special are the people who work there.

I love Max's pizza. My daughter also loves it. They are very friendly and convenient. I have never tried anything besides their pizza as it is just too good to pass by. I would strongly recommend. Pricing is very fair.

The food is great, we have been going back for years. Our wedding was there -over 23 years ago, had my parents 50th anniversary party there, my aunt/uncles 50th anniversary party there, they have catered showers, 40th birthday parties, special events - like communion/confirmations. I don't even consider other places.

I had been planning a get together and didn't know what their menu was like so I stopped in and they gave me one of their nice menus to take home and return when I came to place my order. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual and inviting.

this is my goto place ! the staff is great, they do anything you want to do. the owner/manager chuck is on top of everything, the last time I was there he spent sometime with me pickining some wine not pushing some crazy bottle but we looked at 3 or 4 20 dollar bottles nice to to treated like a big shop even thought i know i am not a wine snob, he also told me about 1/2 off bottled wine on wensnday nights, the server meg knew everything about the menu, i hade a special porterhouse that i was told was from a local butcher that was as manly as the chef that made it my wife had the maple mustard salmonthat was out of this world! we also had some portaella fries for app which you have to try!!! i was also told about prime rib night on thursdays that they just started for 15.50 i guess that will be my next trip, nice to see a place be so old school that a owner and staff remebers your name
Pros: live music a couple of nigths, old feel with great look, great bar , big booths
