I've been a customer (and huge fan) of Peter's since they first opened, but I will not go back anytime soon. Customer service has never been a strength, and it continues to go down hill. The employees aren't rude, they just act as if you are invisible. You will not be greeted upon entering. Placing a take out order in person is almost impossible (I finally phoned mine in even though I was physically in the restaurant). This restaurant has gotten fat and happy, and makes no pretense of valuing customers. When the shine is off, and a different restaurant is the Brentwood darling, I may consider returning, but not until then.
Pros: Decent sushi
Cons: Overcrowded

We came across this place rather out of the blue one day before the renovations and full instantly in love. Their sushi is so tasty and fresh that it's no wonder it is a fav. amongst all the celebs in this town. We always come across someone since we go once a week for lunch. Last week was Sheryl Crow and the week before was Brad Paisley. Great food for the price! You HAVE to check this place out if you like sushi.
Pros: Sushi
Cons: Wait time.

Service has gone downhill, tables are sticky, windows are dirty, floor is dirty and friendliness has disappeared! Peter, what has happened to you? I used to love coming there.....now, I don't have time to wait an hour before someone even says hello! Sushi tastes old sometimes, too. I am disappointed!
Pros: convenient location for me
Cons: dirty windows, door, floor, and tables

We go to Peters atleast once a week. Bathroom smelled fine to me, I mean, you know, it smelled like a bathroom. Our food was fabulous as always and for as busy as they were, our service was great. Peters is honestly our favorite place to eat sushi. If you haven't tried it yet, I think you should!
Pros: great sushi!!
Cons: not a very big establishment, tends to be a wait.

I usually get a few rolls, the salmon roll being my favorite, and alternate with Pad Thai. Peter's has by far the best sushi and pad thai in Nashville, I really can't say more than that.
Service is reasonably fast, and now that they added the waiting area, the restaurant is not as crowded. More often than not though, people have spilled out onto the sidewalk outside - there is usually a large crowd waiting to get in.
Pros: Sushi, salmon rolls, pad thai
Cons: Sometimes a long wait

In past enjoyed the good food and folks at Peters. Over the holidays, I took my two adult daughters to Peters for dinner. We were served by an older Thailand woman who was very rude. She did not bring our order until it was cold, and we had to ask her several times to get refills on our drinks. She made a face at us when we told her that the food was all cold, and her comments back to us were on the mean side. My daughters went to the restroom and report that it smells bad and needed a deep cleaning. Made us wonder if something has changed at Peters. In the past we always had good friendly service, but this time it was really rude. Couple that to the bathroom situation, we will be looking for another place.
Cold food, dirty bathroom and nasty service? Why would we return?
Pros: nice location, new decor and usually nice people
Cons: food served cold and smelly bathroom

I've been in Nashville 8 years, and I've eaten sushi just about everywhere, but I had never tried Peter's. I really liked it. The pieces of nigiri were huge--well worth the $. My Mom had the Pad Thai which was delicious as well. I only ordered sushi, and it came w/soup salad, and we each were given 1/2 egg roll for no extra cost. The sushi did take a while, but it was worth it. Plus, I had the soup, salad, etc to snack on while I waited. I ordered 1 roll, and there were more pieces than I could dream of eating. This restaurant was just remodeled, and the de'cor is so cute. It's a very well-rounded sushi/thai restaurant that's great for lunch, a date, or family outing. There are some whole-in-the-wall places to get good sushi for a little less $, but at that point you're sacrifcing atmosphere. I totally recommend Peter's!
Pros: Quality sushi, great atmosphere
Cons: the wait for sushi

Peter's Sushi in Brentwood has changed! Not to worry, those who have frequented Peter's Sushi
and Thai for the past 3-4 years, the exceptional quality of food and service is still every bit as good
as it has been from the start!! Brentwood Place Shopping Center has undergone a facelift and some
of the longtime merchants have had found some extra room in the restaurant thanks to a welcome remodel.
Peter's now offers an expanded dining room beautifully painted in a lovely melon green on
one wall and a pomegrantie red-orange on the other wall. Pictures of flora & fauna indigenous
to Tennessee and perhaps Japan adorn the walls throughout. On a special night out for me and
my wife we had a desire for some good sushi and were not disappointed! We started our dining
with deep fried wontons filled with crab and a cream-cheese filling. Our entrees were served with
hot miso soup & salad. Several Japanese/Sushi restaurants we have visited in recent times
have NOT served soup and salads with entrees, I find this addition to be a wonderful part of the
meal, but also a show of appreciation from our hosts. My wife chose two standard rice rolls of cruchy
crab and California roll, and instead of soy sauce she again requested for dipping the Special Volcano
Sauce or Spicy Mayonaise sauce.
As it had been a while since I had sushi, I had a taste for Sashimi. The chef chose some fresh,
suculent selections of Tuna, Fatty Tuna, Yellowtail, and Mackarel garnished with cucumber,
daikon (actually shredded Japanese radish) & shredded carrot. I found every bite to be delicious
with just a light dip in soy sauce and perhaps a bit of wasabi. Our server was very kind to keep my
hot tea cup filled while I ate.
There are many other wonderful rastaurants in the area, but we chose Peter's because we knew
the atmosphere, the service and the food would meet and exceed our expectations
Pros: Wide selection of noodle dishes, rice dishes and FRESH sushi
Cons: There are selections suitable for children, but may be limited
