I am a self procalimed artist. What does this mean persay? Well it simply means this. I draw, paint, bead, scrapbook and sew. I do not do "crafts" I create beautiful things that have been commented on and even though I do not always agree I do realize what I have is a gift. ANYWAYs...........Michael's is my one stop shop. On one side of the store I can statt off by browsing the scrapbooking things, transition into the beads, scoot past the picture frames straight into there small sewing area and end in drawing. I can pick up great clearances and their usually low prices make them ideal. The store is clean, well organized, and always stocked. This store is my sanctuary.

As a rule I like Michael's selection, but they are more expensive than other craft stores and I don't like that they support political causes. If only they would open an A.C. Moore near me -- they have a better selection than Michael's and don't give political donations at all.

I agree that Michael's has a lot of stuff for hobbyists. I've gotten pen palling supplies there, like stickers and stamping stuff. I've also gotten art supplies there and extra yarn for latch hook projects. They have a lot of different crafts stuff there and such a huge assortment of things. The only beef I have with this department store of crafts items? The prices are pretty outrageous! Unless you catch a specific sale on something you want, be ready to take out a second mortgage or to sell your first born to afford what you want!

This is a great place to shop. If you need it chances are they have it. I love Michaels. It is like my second home!! I do lots of different crafts as does my daughter and I can always find stuff to accomodate my needs! There is not a time that I go in here that I cant find something to buy. Plus they really have nice sales and clearance.

This Michael's just moved into a new building about a year ago, and the building is huge. They have so many new things to choose from, for every craft need. Aisles and aisles of things for kids to do, great for those teachers that need some craft ideas for art time. They are always running ads in the paper with coupons, so keep your eyes open for those.
