Every time I visit the Sarasota area I always stop by Linger Lodge. This restaurant offers a wonderful relaxed vacation feeling. Sitting out on the deck overlooking the river just puts me in a relaxed frame of mind. The inside of the restaurant is decorated in taxidermy overload, it's a fun casual atmosphere. They recently added the BEST HUSH PUPPIES I have ever had. And saving room for dessert is a must, SO GOOD! Great food at a Great Price! Great Service! Great Atmosphere check out the peacocks (last time I was there they had albino peacocks, a funny site to see)! The only down side is it's hard to find! Print out the directions first! You won't regret your visit.

Right on the river you can watch alligators or birds feeding. This is the most unique place you would ever eat at. I really loved it better many years ago when it was filled with so many snake skins, stuffed animals and assorted things that you couldn't take it all in. The food was always okay, it was the nature of the place that always brought us back.

This place is great, but unfortunately I hear it is being sold. They have all these stuffed animals on the wall, alligators, deer, snakes, etc. The food is above average, but I mainly go here because it's so different to eat with a pig hanging over your head.

Casual water front dining in a museum like atmosphere on the Braden River. For some the atmosphere can be upsetting, because of the stuffed animals on the wall. Great food including burgers, sandwiches, and dishes involving alligator, grouper, catfish, shrimp, AND a lot more. A screened in deck. Yum.
