I knew that such bread existed -- I have walked the streets of Paris at 5 a.m. and seen the men on bicycles with baskets overflowing with baguettes, the warmn, humid aroma of fresh bread filling the streets.
Step inside the humble Breadfarm storefront in beautiful downtown Edison, and the worksers in your olfactory are going to be doing overtime.
The place is a feast for the eyes as well -- baskets of baguettes, grainy farmer bread and rye loaves cover the counter, as bakers work their crafts before your eyes.
But don't let your eyes do all the feasting. Pick up a baguette and stroll next door to "Slough Foods" and pick up some ripe cheese and some copacolla and prepare for a taste of heaven.
The crips crust, and wonderfully airy, chewy center of the baguette is unmatched. The slightly sourdough adds depth and dimension to the grainy farmer bread. Their sourdough rye is unmatched when paired with a little Gulden's brown mustard and a slice of excellent roast beef or smoked ham.

The restaurant has a beautiful setting and nice outdoor patio seating. Service was good, attentive. Special requests were dealt with efficiently and gracefully. The food was good -- not outstanding. We just loved the entire experience and didn't feel rushed to eat and leave.
Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: Small bathroom

If you are ever in Skagit County this restaurant is a must to visit. The food is exquisite and the ambiance is calming and comfortable. The restaurant sits next to the bay and every seat in the house has a view, outdoor seating is available in the summer. The local birds have a feeding station that you are always entertained with and on occasion a family of raccoons walks by the windows to say hi. I have also seen deer and a porcupine while gazing at the priceless view of the bay. You can wear your Sunday finest or come completely casual. I have even worn shorts and they welcome me in with a big smile. If you like wine, so does the owner and he has a great wine selection available. Don't miss the seafood buffet they have on Friday nights. My favorite dish is the Tenderloin Fillet.

This place is great. My husband and I stop here on our way to bellingham, kind of a tradition. He gets the oysters, which they are known for, and I get the mushroom burger. Would never know that they have the best food to look at the place but it is awesome. It is a bar with pool tables and a couple large screen tv, juke box and alot of locals!

The Oyster Bar sits on a bluff overlooking Samish Bay and the San Juan Islands. It's like being perched in a. Dinner at sunset can be an unforgettable experience. The food is exquisite, the menu offers some quite unusual dishes, and the service is impeccable. The wine list is extensive. As the name might indicate, they specialize in oysters, serving several different varieties, including local ones from beds right below the restaurant. Most of the staff has been there for years, so they really know how to treat you right. We go there for special occasions, when we really want to treat ourselves.

Today was a very sad day for me. I took two visiting friends down beautiful Chuckanut Drive to my favorite restaurant, The Oyster Creek Inn, only to find it closed and for sale. I called my foodie son, whose first request upon arrival in Seattle was to go to the Oyster Creek Inn and his reply was, "Oh no, this is a tragedy!" I told local friends who were as saddened as I. There is nothing to compare in the area to the Oyster Creek Inn.
Pros: Food, Service, Ambience, Views, Room!
Cons: IT IS NOW CLOSED!

I love The Skagit- good gaming options, slots or table games, in a beautiful building that's right off I-5. Dining options are also great, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Free coffee/soft drinks, and the promotional deals for club members can be really good. The payouts aren't bad at all. I especially like the keno room- it's nice to see a casino that devotes enough space to keno machines as well as live keno.
