This is one of the nicer restaurants in the area -- expect to pay $25-$35/person for dinner before wine/drinks. The food's great, and the wine list -- while suffering a little since the original owner's departure -- is still superb.

The Oyster Bar sits on a bluff overlooking Samish Bay and the San Juan Islands. It's like being perched in a. Dinner at sunset can be an unforgettable experience. The food is exquisite, the menu offers some quite unusual dishes, and the service is impeccable. The wine list is extensive. As the name might indicate, they specialize in oysters, serving several different varieties, including local ones from beds right below the restaurant. Most of the staff has been there for years, so they really know how to treat you right. We go there for special occasions, when we really want to treat ourselves.
