I love the fact that I am helping students while still in the learning process.. you evauluate their work, tell them what you didn't like, what you did, and it's worth the money! I've only had 2 bad massages out of 15. And you have to remember that not every student is instantly going to become the world's best massage therapist in just a few weeks. It definitely takes time, but you're helping them achieve their goal. What could be better?

I went to the Boulder College of Massage Therapy yesterday for the first time, and was fairly disappointed. I feel bad that I was unsatisfied because I think that I had a "newbie" - the poor thing got so nervous when the observing instructor walked in the room that his hands started shaking. The whole experience was a little awkward and uncomfortable for me - making it very hard for me to relax. He was also a little rough - I'm pretty sore in certain places today (although that may be common, I'm not sure), which isn't exactly the feeling I was going for. I've heard some great things about students there, but it's a little touch and go - you don't know who you're going to get. You can't beat the price anywhere though!

The Boulder College of Massage Therapy has a student clinic (http://www.bcmt.org/bcmt-clinic/) for $25-35 dollars you can get a one hour massage from a current student. Since the school is a 1000 hour program (only 500 hours is required by the state), many of the students have a lot of experience. The best massage I've ever gotten was from a 4th quarter student at the school.
Disclaimer: I'm a current student, but not currently working in the clinic.
