I've been here a handful of times and only once had a problem with the wait. I think it was maybe 30 minutes to get our food that time? The wait staff kept bringing us appetizers that the chef was whipping up in the mean time and we therefore enjoyed the wait. My children weren't behaving especially well that time, either, which may have only made it seem like a longer wait. Fortunately the wait staff brought them out to the deck and showed them some deer laying in the grass out there which helped alot. The food has always been excellent, my favorite being the butternut squash tortellini. I have never been disappointed and highly recommend this restaurant.

I really enjoyed my experience here, not your average Mexican food. I found the menu to be extremely inventive. I ordered the shrimp mojo for my dinner, and it was delicious. The food was much fancier than a typical Mexican restaurant, but the prices and the atmosphere made it casual and unpretentious. The tequila selection is incredible and the staff is extremely knowledgeable about their product. I never thought drinking could be so educational. My waiter in particular was charming. I would recommend Tahona for a nice dinner or just to hang out with some friends. One of the best meals I have had in Boulder.
Pros: Fine Dining in a casual atmosphere
Cons: Parking on Pearl Street can be annoying

Went on a recent (rare) rainy afternoon in Boulder with a friend and enjoyed a nice, deliciously, leisurely lunch on the porch with Matthew as our server. He was extremely charming and attentive, offering honest advice and opinions when asked. This kid knew his stuff - both on the food menu and the wine list. Our lunch was delicious - we both started with the clam chowder with herbed drop biscuits - creamy and perfectly seasoned. My friend had the lamb sandwich served with a side salad. She gobbled it up, while I devoured the grilled smoked trout, served over an artichoke & potato "hash". Simply delicious.
Pros: Service is excellent, food is right behind that. Nice wine list as well.
Cons: Crowded on the weekends for a great brunch, but don't let that stop you from going.

I just went to the Greenbriar recently for the first time in several years, and they have maintained excellent service and delicious food. The extent of their menu is amazing-- every dish has not only a unique main item, but it is accompanied by sides with a great blend of flavors, including unexpectedly delectable combinations, such as a spicy chocolate truffle. They have food I would never dream of dreaming up.
When we went to the Greenbriar, my mom was using a gift certificate from her birthday, and even though her birthday was a month before, they still brought out a mini creme brulee to mark the occasion.
Service is excellent, and they have all the nice little things that make the experience more special-- like palette-cleansing sorbet in between courses. Portions are fairly large for a fine restaurant, making it a fine value.

What an amazing wine deal!! Half off all bottles of wine on their much improved list. The dining hall has been revamped with amazing wood tables and a much cleaner look. While the porch is still the place to be (heated too!) the inside is very cozy. The food was great, well informed staff, and a truly great evening. IF YOU LOVE WINE GO TO CHAUTAUQUA DINING HALL!!
Pros: WINE DEALS, ATMOSPHERE, FRIENDLY SERVICE
