I have had the same experience as a previous poster.
Look, the coffee is good, but the chairs and tables are crappy, as is the environment, and they have this snooty "don't put your shoes on the furniture" policy that is absolutely ridiculous.
There are also almost no outlets and in addition for being yelled at for having my foot on a chair, on another occasion i was yelled at for reaching behind the back counter (not used for making coffee) and plugging in my laptop cord.
I frequently encounter attitude from the servers, who tend to throw receipts at you, ignore you, and act a little too cool for you. And I tip every time.
To add insult to injury, they are the most expensive coffee I've found in Boulder.
I have never written an online review, so I'm not a serial complainer.
Please, don't give these people your money. I will never, ever go there again.

The guy is a freak. I was there with my 3 year old, and we were the first to get out some chairs and seat ourselves outside (7am) with our baked goods. As I was putting up the umbrella, the owner inserted himself into our space, and with *no* social niceties proceeds to tell me how to put up the umbrella (duh) and then pushes me out of the way to do it himself saying: "this is my umbrella". I asked him repeatedly to leave me alone, with no response... he is devoid of the ability to interact with humans in a polite and reasonable way. No kidding. The employees looked absolutely miserable there, and no wonder.
We will not go there again. Ever. (Vic's on 30th St. in Bldr.)

Do you like your coffee strong? How about consistent? Yeah - me too. That's why I go to Vic's Coffee in Boulder. Great, strong, coffee in a very hip, non-corporate atmosphere. And, if I'm hungry, there's a bagel shop next door. There's even music sometimes, the baristas are usually quite friendly, and everyone there knows my name.

i'm sorry. first of all, it's got great coffee, and WIFI, and good snacks. the kids that work there are fun.
that said,
the management is twisted. the owner accosted me for having my foot up on a chair. he treated me as an inferior, saying that "he doesn't care where i am, but you don't do that anywhere. people have to sit on that seat." i scoffed him off, because, though he's right about, he came up to me and treated me like his child, like an inferior. so, watch out; if you're doing something wrong in Mike's point of view, you may recieve a public execution for it (yes, he was loud and obnoxious, and everyone around was staring at him and i). i've also heard that this is common, from the baristas - oh, and the turnover is ridiculous. but the yuppies keep on going back! but i do know that almost 100% of the staff at joe's espresso are former vic's employees - including joe!
other possibly incriminating things i have heard about the management:
+sexual harrassment from mike (boss),
+cheating on taxes (using different business names in different towns to keep a low tax bracket or something like that)
+not offerring health insurance to this girl who was full time who had a kid and had been there for a long time, but offering it to other people who had been there just as long as she had. i heard it was because "she wasn't working hard enough".
+firing people because "he doesn't like them"
i really can't stand underdeveloped arrogant babies in leadership positions. big personal no-no - and especially in a town like boulder. so, i'm never going to vics again. or vic's again again.
