Ive gone to tire source a number of times for race tire mounting and race alignments. After a quick conversations its obvious that Pete and his staff know what they are doing, which is hard to find when you are looking for a racing alignment/ tire mounting. His alignment prices are also unbeatable, even compared to a "normal alignment" from a big corporate chain.
Pros: knowledgable, prices, race car friendly,
Cons: only in boulder, theyre popular (you gotta wait)

While living in Estes Park a friend recommended I bring my '96 Saab 900 down here for servicing and repairs. Great decision. Bear and his team are knowledgeable, do great work, and have always been very friendly and helpful. The prices seemed fair and definitely worth it for the quality of service. If you live near Boulder and have a Saab I recommend checking them out.

I took my car in for some basic maintenance work (serpentine and timing belt replacement, a few other minor things). They offered a free inspection, very fair pricing--significantly less than another place in Boulder, and had the maintenance done the same day. I would recommend this auto shop to anyone looking for a new place to get maintenance done. I've told several of my friends to go here, and was recommended this place by a friend. I am a fairly young female (mid-20s) and so was my friend that gave me the recommendation, so it doesn't appear they have any biased pricing. Which, in this day and age of being able to ask hundreds of people on the internet how much common maintenance should cost, is probably a good business plan for them!

We were referred to Verner's by our friend after unsatisfied experiences with our previous mechanic. Verner is honest, straight, and professional. He inspect the car throughly, and give detail with works needed to be done with estimates on the invoice. Our car drives better than before after his work.
Pros: Professional and great service for Audi/VW
Cons: Office small for waiting, but they are willing to drive me to a near by caffee house to wait. Repair took longer than expected, but they kept me informed.

I have a Toyota Prius and it requires special (expensive) tires that can stand up to the extra-heavy front end. You can't just put the right SIZE tire on, you have to use the ones rated for the heavy weight or your tires will wear out in 10,000 miles. Discount Tire assured me they had the right size and rating tire, which I gave them IN WRITING to make sure I was clear what I needed. They installed 4 new tires, I paid $500 for them, they showed me the contract that gives me 30 days to exchange them, plus an 80K mile warranty so I left thinking all was well. When I got home I looked closer at the tires and realized they were NOT the ones I'd requested. I called to exchange them, they said they would have to order them -- ??? gee they told me at the time they'd put them on that they were the right ones! - and to call them back in a week. I called; my tires were not in yet. Called a week after that, still no tires. Long story short I told them I needed the correct tires and they said they were "due in any day now" and those SLIMEBALLS let my 30-day window expire and then they told me it was past the time I could exchange them. If you need special tires DO NOT BUY THEM HERE unless you look at them BEFORE they put them on and you're sure they're what you want, because you will be stuck with them once they're on and you drive off! This place is ok for regular tires, they have lots of them, but BEWARE they might put some off-brand tires on your car if you don't look at what you're buying first!!! Bottom line, look at the tires before they go on your car and make sure they're what you want, because these jerks will give you the run-around if you try to use that useless "30-day exchange warranty" they tout. I WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN, EVEN FOR BASIC TIRES FOR MY FORD TRUCK, BECAUSE THEY LIED TO ME AND CHEATED ME.
Pros: CONVENIENT, GOOD FOR REGULAR BASIC TIRES
Cons: AVOID IF YOU NEED SPECIAL TIRES LIKE FOR TOYOTA PRIUS
