Betty & Shelby:
For Chrismas I bought my wife, Diane, a robotic vacuum cleaner, called iROBOT Roomba. It seems to work pretty good. I was wondering if you had any experience with this vacuum cleaner, and if you carry parts for it: brushes, filter, etc.

When visiting the showroom, felt that the person we worked with was attentive and provided us good advice. The problems started once they actually got our money....we set up delivery and install times that they failed to keep, when they did deliver, they did not complete the install. We were the ones who had to initiate very single contact...i get the feeling that if we did not call them and pester them to deliver and install our appliances we would still be waiting for delivery and who knows about completing the install.
So sad that a business treats its customers so poorly.
Have also dealt with High Tech applicance and they are way better!

A co-worker took her vacuum to this business for repair. She was very specific about what she wanted.
1. Factory replacement parts of the wheels.
2. The handle catch fixed. The handle would not stay upright. It fell to the floor if you let go.
They said that they could give her what she asked for. The following is the service she recieved.
They kept the vacuum for four weeks and did not fix the handle. The owners son claimed that it was not broken and was designed to fall to the floor. The wheels they placed on the vacuum were not factory replacements. By her description they were cheap and gaudy. When she complained they were argumentative and insulting. She then told them that she was not satisfied with their service and that she wanted the original wheels replaced. If I understood her corectly they said that would cost extra. In the end she had to pay $50.00 just to get her vacuum back. Nothing was fixed and she still has to find someone reputable to fix it.
Pros: No pros
Cons: Disreputable
