I'd never had a professional massage before and recieved this one as a Christmas gift, and I must say, it really set the bar. I really loved the slippers and foot soak while I filled out paperwork. I was able to choose which areas I wanted massaged, and figured since I was there, I might as well do the whole shebang and get a full body massage. Mandi, who gave me the massage, was so friendly and I felt very comfortable with her. And the whole place just oozed Zen, from the colors on the walls, to the decorations, to the water fixture and music... I would definitely go back.
Pros: Beautifully decorated, very relaxing feel, comfy slippers
Cons: You eventually have to leave.

I discovered Sushi Zen in early 2008 and it has been my favorite ever since. Most sushi places are so similar, I didn't realize that even something as basic as maguro could be so much better!
At lunch you get a bowl of miso soup to start out and if you're there at dinner, a bowl of edamame greets you at the table along with a few bites of cucumber salad with shrimp. We usually order the kaarage (think Japanese chicken nuggets) which come with a tasty ginger sauce, to start.
My favorites are Crouching Tuna Hidden Shrimp Roll (Shrimp tempura roll covered with spicy tuna), the Stuffed Tomato (a peppery, crunchy seafood salad on top of rice wrapped in raw tuna), and White Christmas Roll - which is topped with a tasty wasabi-based cream sauce. Their nigiri is spectacular (I always say I'm going to just eat nigiri and then the rest of the menu reminds me how tasty it ALL is) - it just melts in your mouth. I don't like eel, but my friends swear that the Las Vegas Roll is the best thing on the menu. A couple of basics - Spicy Tuna Roll and Dynamite Roll- are also very reasonably priced and so delicious - the perfect amount of heat without detracting from the flavor of the fish.
The service is prompt, but be patient with the sushi on busy nights- they have very talented chefs but they are making these by hand! I've been in a couple of times where an upset (and impatient!) customer gets huffy that it's not out in 10 minutes. Believe me, it's a little wait for the food, but oh-so-worth-it.

I am black and have extremely coarse and ingrown facial hair. Lately i have experienced more ingrown hairs and dark areas from the scarring of the ingrown hairs.
i read reviews about Aura and that's how i tried them out.. i have had 2 consultations at other clinics one at a vey plastic surgery spa and one at dermatology clinic.
I came to the Aura medspa for my consultation i spoke to katy who everyone seems to know by first name and rely on her at the clinic for expertise and knowledge. I had a consultation and i thought immediately she knows SKIN..She was concise thorough and to the point. i was given a treatment plan and told how my skin would be cared for and what they would do at every step of the treatment plan. I was very impressed no pressure just facts and a real plan of care?? all backed up with knowledge and experience.
I signed up for the buy 5 get three free on the laser pkg.
i noticed a change in my skin immediately.
it's been four days since my laser treatment and my face seriously feels less irrtiated!
I am ecstatic
kudos to Aura for their integrity and knowledge!
thanks Katy i feel the change for the better that you referred to!:)
Pros: Safety and Results
Cons: None i can think of

Read about the Sunday suppers that Preservation Kitchen has been doing on their website. I grew up in a house with 7 children, and most of the time, Sunday was the only night of the week we were all hom, dad wasn't working, and we had a big family dinner. We were never fortunate enogh to have a Sunday supper like we enjoyed Sunday night.
When we were seated we were handed dinner menus and given a quick rundown of the Sunday supper from our server. In our party of four, we opted for two Sunday suppers, the aforementioned prime rib and a seafood stew with scallops, clams, and halibut in a tomato coconut stock/broth/deliciousness.
I was glad we decided to eat with friends because there were some options on the dinner menu that sounded very interesting. Needless to say we did a lot of sharing. The salads were amazing, I had a caesar with an insanely rich homemade dressing.
The entrees, both Sunday supper and others were equally enjoyed, but everyone at the table agreed that the Prime Rib stood out. Unfortunately, they only run it once a week, and our server informed us that the Sunday supper menu changes. So who knows if we will ever be able to enjoy the amazing prime rib again, or if it was indeed the Last Supper.....only time will tell.
Nice Job, Preservation Kitchen. You stand out in all the right ways, we can't wait to see what you have in store for us next time!! Good food is hard to find, so imagine how happy we were to find exceptional food, reasonable prices, focus on staying local and seasonal. I just wish local meant that your restaurant was in Wallingford :)
Pros: Best prime rib I have ever had in my life
Cons: The owners put the restaurant in Bothell not where I live :)

Harmony massage is a masterfully run privately owned business. They have graciously given me the chance to work with each of the therapists who are contracted by my insurance and without hard feelings have chosen a favorite. I love the personalized service that is given each time I go in. It begins with a warm greeting from the receptionist and goes on to a detailed check in with my therapist who takes note of my needs for that specific visit. I have never gotten a generic once over massage from any of the wonderful staff at Harmony. And just as important I am given the full 60 minutes EVERY time. I love you Harmony Massage and will continue coming back for some of your magic!
Pros: Flexible scheduling and many massage therapists to try out.
Cons: I haven't found anything to complain about in the last year.

Hobin and his entire crew are very customer focused. The food is always top-notch and the staff will make you feel like you are at home.
The sushi chefs are great at making that 'special' roll or serving up combinations that are off the menu.
Must try:
Bonito Tuna (when in season); Crunchy roll, Hana roll, and the Rainbow roll. Delish
Pros: top quality fish; imaginative, tasty rolls
Cons: small space - easily filled

I've been to Grazie's countless times, and have never been disappointed! Their Alfredo sauce is one of the best I?ve had. According to my parents, their coconut prawns are THE best. Parmesan risotto is to die for, it?s very rich and creamy! The risotto comes with certain menu items, but I?ve ordered it alone as a side dish. My favorite dish is ?Cassie?s pesto supremo,? it has artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, pine nuts and feta cheese? oh my mouth is watering! I saw someone comment on the flan, only it?s not called flan, it?s called creme caramel. I?m no creme caramel connoisseur, but it was yummy, just like everything else I?ve tried there. If you go during peak times, especially on weekends call ahead for a reservation!
Pros: Great food, wine selection, live jazz
Cons: Parking lot can fill up on a busy night

I have eaten at Sai Mai several times a month since it opened and it is the ONLY restaurant in Bothell that I frequent. The owners pride themselves on friendly, attentive and expeditious service. The food is fabulous. I have lived in and traveled to many different cities and eaten lots of Thai food in my life but nothing compares to Sai Mai. The dishes always contain the freshest of ingredients, prepared with great care and skill and are always delivered nice and hot. The usuals are on the menu.... pad thai and satay, for example.... but there are so many wonderful and healthy creative dishes like three plus one. And Mu makes the best cocktails! I am salivating just thinking about the cilantro mojito that he makes. You must go to Sai Mai. They are worth a trip to the East side if you don't live there and should be a regular haunt if, in fact, you do. I usually go to Belltown and Capitol Hill for good food but Sai Mai is the exception!
Pros: Delicious, fresh and healthy ingredients perfectly prepared
Cons: None
