Nothing about the location or exterior will prepare you for the quality of food served here. Leave your pre-conceptions at the door and open your mind to the possibility that food this good really can be found in a strip mall. There isn't an ounce of pretentiousness to be found; the interior is both elegant and relaxed, the menu straightforward and devoid of flowery prose. Ingredients are of top quality and the preparation and presentation are both designed to let the food speak for itself. Dishes are perfectly seasoned and expertly prepared, Halibut cooked just so, steaks tender and correctly done. Vegetables are seasonal and fresh, simply prepared to accompany the focus of the dish. Each course shows skill and confidence, no corners cut and no compromises made, this is a kitchen that could compete well in down-town Seattle with some much more well known names. Wine list is modest, vegetarian options a little limited, younger diners will fit in just fine. Pros: The food, the food, the food Cons: Not the most romantic location, but did I mention how good the food is?

As far as the complaints on the portions I am not sure what that person was referring too. As anytime we have been which is 2 to 4 times a month we always leave full and with leftovers. Everyone who I have recommended the Grill too has really loved it. You can truly taste all the spices in the meals and the way they plate the food at dinner you think you were at a place downtown. Also that comment about the owners writing their own reviews is coming out of left field. I read the reviews before we went there and it was true to a T. Also we went there for our 2 year anniversary and we were given complementry drinks. I highly recommend the Grill:) Strawberry Crepes are wonderful:) Their Tostada salad also wonderful. Desserts are very filling and very tasty.

My husband and I love the the Grill at Mill Creek. It is great to have such a fabulous restaurant so close by in the neighborhood. Every meal we have had there has been absolutely wonderful for breakfast and dinner. The service is also wondeful. We are always so delighted to go there. Dinner is great for special occassions or for having a nice meal out. We love it there!

OVER-RATED. For a strip mall restaurant the food was OK, but they only serve small portions. The bill for my wife and I rang up at just under $ 100 and I left still hungry. We read the City Search reviews before we went and I honestly think they were written by the owner - just my gut feeling. The folks who run the place are pleasant and the service was very good. It's just that if I am going to spend a $ 100 on dinner, I don't want to have to look out at a parking lot of Suburbans and BMW's. Pros: Enjoyed our dinners and service was quick and pleasant Cons: too expensive for a strip mall and the portions were skimpy

The Grill is a great little restaurant to go to if you are in the mood for good food and wine. The service is prompt and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. My husband and I enjoyed a delightful dinner tonight. We both chose to order from the evening's specials. He chose the New York steak and I chose the salmon. Both were so very well prepared. The salmon was cooked to perfection with an interesting sauce of mango and grapes. Sounds odd but it was quite delicious! Wine selection by the glass was quite good. I chose a L'Ecole Semillion. So often restaurants offer much lesser quality wines by the glass. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. All this despite the location. The staff provided attentive service. We'll most certainly return! Pros: excellent food, service and wine selection Cons: parking may be a challenge

We had dinner tonight at the Grill at Mill Creek, after reading the review in the Herald I had very high expectations....and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent, service attentive, and the decor was very inviting despite the strip mall location. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: Quality of food, parking, service, wide range of menu choices Cons: None

The Grill at Mill Creek, Although this restaurant is in a small strip mall the decor is very inviting and with an open floor plan it provides a very warm atmosphere. There is about a dozen tables for seating so it is not too large but with the high ceilings the table conversations do not echo across the room. We had two other couples with us this evening and everyone had a superb meal. Each dish had great flavor combinations and the presentation was top notch! The quality of the meal is well worth twice the amounts on the menu. I've went to much more expensive restaurants in town and paid twice what I paid this evening for dinner with wine. The proprietor Rodgrigo is a wonderful host and his staff are very attentive to detail! This is one place that I defiantly am going to go back again and again just so I can try the rest of the items on the menu! Don't miss this GEM!!! Pros: The food is amazing and a wonderful value! Cons: Parking could be an issue occasionally.
