Don't waste your time at Zuma's, the food here is the worst Tex-mex in the area. The dishes are overpriced and unflavorful and the mixed drinks like the margaritas and sangria are watered-down and not very good. Don't be fooled by the convienient Faneuil Hall location- this place should not get your business even as a last resort. The service here is also attrocious and the restaurant itself seems dirty.

My wife and I came down last Monday for lunch, having just stumbled upon the place while walking through Faneuil Hall. Boy am I glad I did! The restaurant is downstairs, and the colored lights on the ceiling and the Old West decor give ithe place a fun, casual feel. I had the cuban sandwich which was delicious!!! I don't know what kind of bread they use, but it was mucho bien! My wife had the dos enchiladas with beef, and she really enjoyed those as well. Our waiter (a tall guy--I think his name was Brian?) was super polite and got our food out to us a lightening speed! And the prices were very reasonable, especially considering that we were in Faneuil Hall. My wife and I will definately come again next time we can sneak off for lunch. Or heck, maybe we'll go there for dinner tonight!
Pros: bottomless chips and salsa, great waitstaff!
Cons: No one seems to know about it

Zoinks has everything you would expect to find in a toy store as well as some rare fun finds that will have even adults wondering how they could pass up making a purchase. They have a large selection of legos, plush, Barbies, and specialty games as well as childrens books and Boston-themed toys. They also have an excellent section of small games, toys and fun parephenalia that is both cute and well-priced. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. A great addition to the Faneiul Hall Market Place!

Zoe Home has unusual finds for the home. Ranging from kooky mis-shapen clocks, to modern chairs, you won't find the goods at Zoe's at your typical furniture or decoration store.
Featuring furniture that looks like it belongs in a modern art gallery, Zoe's prices are what you might expect to pay for art instead of furniture. Still, if you don't mind the expense you can outfit your home here in furnishings like you've never seen before.

I liked it here. It is a trendy little spot located in the heart of downtown crossing. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere & decor. It's dimly lit & very cozy. Food is comforting & delish. I had the pork chop & it was thick & juicy. The mashed potatoes were perfect, as well. My friend got the shrimp scampi. We both finished our plates. Make sure to get a plate of the cheesy bread beforehand. Scrumptious. Leave the vodka at home, though. They serve beer & wine only.
Pros: downtown location, decor, food
Cons: no vodka

Zen is a relatively recent addition to the dining scene on Beacon Hill. Most things in this part of town tend toward the small grill or sandwich shop so it's nice to have something cultural as an alternative.
Zen's sushi seems a cut above the kind of sushi that you'd be able to pick up at Whole Foods though it's not top of the line either. Their take on other traditional Japanese fare (miso soup, soba noodle dishes) is nothing outstanding. Prices aren't ridiculous but it's not an inexpensive meal out either.

My sister and I choose Zen when we are craving delicious, dependable sushi. It is reasonably priced for sushi, and always hits the spot! We love the Crazy Maki and the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon rolls. The shumai (steamed) is a delicious and light appetizer... always a staple for us. Going back tonight... can't wait. I highly recommend Zen.
Pros: Crazy Maki, Shumai, Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon...
Cons: parking
