I love going there for breakfast every morning & now that i'm on a low carb diet I get a small salad with grilled chicken or with tuna or chicken salad... what ever i want they make it up for me in the mornings & it's under 5 dollars... i've lost 10 pounds so far and working on another 5.... Improvements: one day Al will be selling ribs I can't wait... the owners are working hard at coming up with ideas to make going out to eat and finding what you like alot easier for some of us fast life people... their hours are great... and if you go there tell them Marion sent you... not that it will get you anything but it will at least let me know i didn't waste my time writing this out... if you want fancy this is not the place but if you want the neighborhood then you have come to the right place.... Other: you can go to the their website and look over their menu & download the months coupone... get a capone jr.sub with soda and chips for 6 dollars...

To me the Phoenix is the best paper to read. I read it religousily every week. The only other "paper" I read cover to cover is The New Yorker. The editorials in the Phoenix are most always outstanding. In the Phoenix one of the best writers is Harvey Silverglate. He has a column called "Freedom Watch" - and he says it like it is. He stands up for the individual's constitutional rights, and he fights, as the lawyer he is, for our personal and national freedom. He is a warrior. I also like the Arts section of the Phoenix 'cause there listed are all the interesting activities that are going on in the great city of Boston. A lot of "free" events happen which there would be no other way for me to learn about. Movie listings, unusual movies, ancient classics, plays and music concerts. Anyway, I love the Phoenix. It's an eye opener.

Whenever I go to Boston I always check out the sam adams brew tour. (Make sure you get one of their flowers or call them to get times) It is a couple blocks walking distance form the orange t line. The tours have a donation of 1 or 2 dollars, but everytime I go, I seem to miss the passing of the donation hat. It is pretty informal tour, the tour guides are always drinking, which I find hilarious. You then get to go to their back room where they hand out pitchers ( 3 or 4 different kinds) to taste test. Last time I went, i didn't have lunch and left there pretty buzzed. You even get to keep the glass. I always say, if I lived in Boston, I would be there every day!

Have you ever been in a bad mood and felt like wolfing down ten pounds of chocolate? At violet they have a better solution for you- and your diet. They have treatments that slather your skin and your senses in chocolate. Anything is better covered in chocolate- including you!
The staff here is super friendly and not as pretentious as other Newbury Street spas. Massages, scrubs and wraps are all fairly priced especially when considering the location. This spa will probably be next on the hot list of places to be pampered- but has not been discovered by the masses as of yet.

I've been going to the "Pru" as the locals call it for years - it's a great place. Park over at the Copley Square garage and walk through Copley and shop there (3 floors including Barney's New York) and then walk through the indoor glass breezeway from Copley to the Shops at Prudential Center to continue your shopping experience. There is a California Pizza Kitchen to your right and an Express for men to your left. Continue forward and you'll see many places to shop and enjoy. There's a Krispy Kreame donuts, food court, Legal Seafoods, Jasmine Sola, Barnes + Noble, Cheesecake Factory, Sephora, Ann Taylor, lots and lots to see and shop and the feeling overall is very city chic, I like it. It's a great place to go when the weather is cold or rainy because you can walk from Copley all the way to Boylston Street without going outside, just by walking through these large shopping areas. That's a real plus in the winter. Copley is more upscale with Tiffany's, Barney's, Armani, etc. Prudential is more affordable. Both offer hotels, shops, food and kiosks in the center to shop at. Enjoy!

It's so great that they opened the Copley location since Faneuil Hall is a bit inconvenient for most people. The biggest disadvantage here is that, unlike New York City, many of the Boston venues are spread out (so if you really wanted to do something last minute, you might have to still haul yourself over the Cambridge to see a show). WIth ticket prices so high, this is a great resource. There rarely seems to be a line (unlike NYC). ArtsBoston runs the booth, so you can always order discounted tix ahead of time online (though they don't guarantee tix, I've ordered many things over the years and have always gotten my first choice and always gotten a ticket, which they mail to you). Their website also tells you about Bostix availability for the day, too (so no mystery when you arrive).

This is a great way to get some designer name clothes for less. There is a large selection to choose from ranging from some trendy stuff to stuff you would never want to see again. I like how there is a lot of small sizes in stuff. One of the stores on Newberry street has a mens clothing section. The prices are very reasonable, but there are some things that are very expensive. Fun place to look around.

A friend recommended this restaurant, as I was looking for a place to meet friends for lunch. What a treat, I highly recommend it! It's just a few minutes from South Station, and it was packed at 12:00, but we got a table right away with no wait. Service was very attentive and the food was wonderful! Lunch was served promptly, we were able to linger, and my friend said her coffee was the best cappuccino ever. The restaurant is very charming with brick and woodwork, not noisy although it was very busy. Go, treat yourself!
