H&M sells quality, fashionable clothes in very affordable prices. most shirts are around $5-$20 and pants around around $15-$30. Their accessories are very affordable ($5 for a necklace and such). I love shopping here because I feel like I can get a trendy outfit without breaking the bank. I also get a lot of my basics there (tees, tanks, etc) at such cute colors and great prices. Watch the sales, and try the clothes on before leaving! I found that the sizes run small and not uniform throughout all the clothes.

No. There a few things that are cheap, and a lot of stuff that's not. The prices are comparable to the Gap in many ways, but don't get marked down nearly as often. The biggest selling point is that they have a huge inventory, and everything's very very trendy. I would say the quality of their clothing isn't very good...not exactly clothing that'll last you years. Also not clothing that'll still be in style next year. The clothes are often very cute, just not exactly practical. They do have some cheap jewelry though. It's worth checking out. The Downtown Crossing location is really messy, but it's huge. Go early in the day before the crowds (or, on the weekdays when people are at work). The Newbury St. location just opened this week, and it was a big disappointment. The space isn't nearly big enough for how much they've crammed in. It's unpleasantly crowded (and not just by people). Also, don't expect to get any service, while the stores are always well-staffed, the staff appears to have little interest in helping customers.

I guess if your looking for quality clothes you shop at H&M. But if you want a good deal for a fashion trend, this is the place. Their clothes, although may not be the best quality, are definitely worth the money. If you want accessories that you will probably only wear once with one outfit, check out their accessories department. They have pocketbooks, shoes, hair clips, earrings, and necklaces all for really cheap prices. Just don't expect their products to be handed down to your children. Also, avoid the downtown crossing H&M on a weekend, it can get chaotic.

The pros: hip clothes, often decently tailored, at low prices. Your fingers will tell you where the quality is and what'll hold up in the wash. The cons: This particular store thrives on confusion - you see a coat you like, you come back two days later to check it again, and the entire section has moved. They are always moving sections for no apparent reason. Also, between 11am and 7pm, there is always a long line (often shorter in the men's department, FYI). I'm an advocate of the lump-trip here, meaning you go planning to buy several things at once and are willing to try them on first. It makes the line more bearable. The sales are incredible and you can find some ridiculous deals if you dig. A good place for hip maternity clothes and inexpensive, charming infants' and children's clothes that won't fall apart. Also cheap accessories - hair things and costume jewelry that looks expensive. Quietest before 11am and between 7-8pm (just before closing). Also Tuesday after work isn't bad.

H&M is a popular chain from Europe. They sell clothes for women, men, kids and also accessories, all imported from Europe. Style is trendy and feels European. Items are reasonably prices ($15-$30 per item on average). You can create a chic look for little money. Large range of sizes. Petites and skinny females can find clothes that will fit them. However quality isn't the best. Clothes usually look nice but they do not last.
