This chocolate and candy store has a great selection of sweets. The store is a little on the small side but carries a huge variety of chocolates. It is in a very convenient area right on High St in the financial district. If you have a sweet tooth craving, I recommend shopping at this store.

Their are standard chocolates at Au Chocolat include a peanut butter seashell that has one of the better peanut butter flavors I have tasted in a chocolate piece. Other worth to try are the orange jelly and pistachio marzipan. They are also the exclusive distributor in Boston for M&M Color works. 21 colors of M&Ms. Worth to visit if you are in Boston.

There's no better place to get that "kid in a candy store" feeling. Contributor
on 08-13-2003
The Scene
You'l feel like Willy Wonka the minute you walk through the doors of Au Chocolat. As sweet smelling air fills your lungs, take a spin around the small store that is literally bursting with candy. Owner Ed Boyer describes chocolate as heavenly, which explains the blue-sky mural painted near the ceiling of his store. The rest of the store is decorated to reflect the season; stop by in December and you'll soon have visions of sugarplums dancing in your head.
The Goods
From sweet truffles to chocolate-covered cherries to caramel candies. Purchase candy by the pound or buy a pre-selected gift box for your favorite chocoholic. Au Chocolat also features Les Cygnes imported Belgian chocolates. Taking up almost an entire wall is the M&M's Colorworks dispenser featuring all 21 colors of M&M's--from teal to white to dark pink. Pick and choose to make your own specialized color combinations and pay by the pound.
