We tried this amazing little place for the first time, and we had a fantastic night which started with delicious red wine. You get the impression from the decor and general vibe that you really are in Spain, and the food is certainly delicious. We did an assortment of tapas plates and desserts and almost all of them were very good, particularly the Yellowfin tuna with citrus and soy. However, if you are a vegetarian, there are not a ton of choices if you don't eat fish.
Pros: Hot vibe, awesome wine, delicious food
Cons: They forgot to bring one of the things we ordered

This place is great. My girlfriend and I went there last week and found the service to be perfect and the food to be delicious. The portions were larger than most tapas places and the garlicky shrimp, duckling, and payaya were incredible. My girlfriend enjoyed the duck confit ravioli as well. Also worth mentioning is the sangria, which was some of the best I've had. Surprisingly, the place was practically empty when we went for dinner during the middle of the week. Having waited for over an hour at tapeo, dahli, and other tapas places in the city, I couldn't believe that more people haven't discovered this place. The food is better and cheaper, the portions are larger, and the place is quiet and comfortable and you don't have to wait for a table. What's not to like about barlola?

Ok...I went in expecting the worst. Brunch in a hotel (buffet)...clear sign of expecting bad food. However, I was completely surprised by my experience there. If you are hungry, would like an upscale brunch, and have $35 (tip not included)...you can plow through a great deal of food.
They have a menu you can order of off (all included in the buffet price). Made to order. The steak and egg was excellent. Duck confit hash..very good. Prawns...excellent. You can order as many items off the menu as you want. (Very cost effective). Don't be confused, the menu items are included in the buffet price.
Besides the menu, you can also visit the buffet line. Pastries, salmon & bagels, pancakes, waffles, fruit, desserts, etc.
Now don't get me wrong. As a high end brunch, I'm sure you can find better. But, if you can account for price and taste, it will be hard to find to any better. You will leave stuffed.
Pros: Brunch!

Sanctuary is my absolute favorite place to go on Friday night. Get there around 11:30 if you like to arrive when it's already busy. The cover is only $5 on the weekend!! They play all of today's top music, with plenty of dance remixes. The main floor is very social and crowded ("Earth" as it's referred to). The upstairs ("Heaven") is more of a lounge bar area and has a faux star-studded ceiling that looks down onto Earth's level. Finally, the below-ground level is a cavernous dance party ("Hell") - mirrored/rough-stone walls, full-service bar, dance poles, red lights and tons of air conditioning pumping all night makes this a great dance scene. If you're looking to have an awesome night that doesn't break the bank, try this place out. You will have a great time!
Pros: Inexpensive cover charge; great dance scene
Cons: Doesn't get busy until after 12 on the weekends

Merengue Restaurant is not your ordinary Latino restaurant. You get to listen to great music while having a meal that if served in downtown will easily be priced three times its cost. Every little detail has been covered, wall pictures by well-known Dominican artists have been beautifully placed around the restaurant, and the interior design carries you to another country instantaneously. I tried the mofongo (mashed plantains) and the picadera once, and I came back to have the coconut fish, and then came back for a different dish the following weeks, not sure if it was for the entree or for the delicious tres leches they serve for dessert, but I remember myself eating hastily just to order one of those with a cup of cappuccino that will shame Starbucks in a second!
Highly recommended for all tastes! I promise you will find a plate of yo

This was my second time at Flat Iron Tapas, and it was nice to see a few new menu items. Some of the old dishes are still available, but, I just had to try the new goods.
The drinks...spectacular as usual.
For dinner, my wife and I, had the Beets salad, with shaved manchego cheese and chopped pistachios. So simple, yet, so good...and the Crab Cake. Crispy-Crunchy panko breading, with a warm and delicious fresh crab filling. I slight kick to it, with spicy mayo, and pickled onions.
For 'entrees' we had the Wild Striped Bass, and The grilled pork tenderloin.
The bass was cooked perfectly, crispy buttery skin, and very moist. Classic lentils and cauliflower came with it, but the essence of rosemary was a nice suprise.
The tenderloin was cooked medium, and perfect. So so tasty. pearled barley, fresh herbs and roasted pearl onions were good...but the highlight of the dish was the homemade apple butter. WOW.
There's something new going on in the kitchen. And I can;t wait to come back for some more, new, dishes. Now, they just gotta work on that dessert list.
Pros: Food, drinks, value
Cons: Parking, restrooms

I was there last night and it was insanely busy, is this a new hot spot for Boston? There was a lot of young beautiful people there, the music was great and although the bar took a while to get to me my drinks I was very happy with them. I had the Dime Martini which the Bartender Kevin told me had Stoli Vanilla, Grand Marnier and peach schnapps topped off with champagne it was very good. I think I was understanding with the wait at the bar because they've just opened recently but some people weren't. I don't know many night spots in Boston that you don't have to wait 5 mins to get a drink, and none with this kind of atmosphere. There was a long line at the door but I heard they might start offering a half glass of champagne while you wait in line which I thought was a great idea. I have never seen this anywhere else so that would be cool. Overall I would recommend this place and I would definitely return.
Pros: Great Ambiance, Great Music, Beautiful People
Cons: Wait for drinks, Prices for Martini around $15
