If you are like me and you are so tired of eating the same old food day after day and you need a dictionary to understand what you are eating. Then you will love this place. They go as far as to accomadate my diets and allergies and to top it off the chef came out to discuss what he can make for me personally! The foodis not good but the Best! I know that I am sounding like a commercial but this place has a reutation as just being a great gay bar but I came in with my girlfriend and this is a real hot spot for everyone and the family!! That is just my opinion though.
Pros: Inexpensive, Professional, Variety

This is a great bar. It's right next to the State House and off of the Boston Commons so it's a great spot to cool off in if you're doing the Freedom Trail or just hanging out on the Boston Commons. The burgers are delicious and rather large. My favorite small dishes/ appetizers are the mini cheeseburger sliders and the nachos with chili. Mmm. The beer selection isn't great with maybe 6 or 8 beers on tap and some more available in bottles. I usually just get a regular Sam Adams or whatever the seasonal Sam ale is. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive. All in all, it's a great bar and one of my favorite places to hang out in Boston.
Pros: Location, food, service, atmosphere
Cons: Beer selection

224 is one of my favorite places to meet up with friends. It is a little pricey but quaint so the experience is worth it. The menu changes with the season and I have never been disappointed with anything that I have ordered. I visit here at least 4 times a year.

This is a high end steak restaurant located next to the copley area in the heart of Boston. The atmosphere is one that is very pleasant and the food is great. The servie is wonderful as well. The price is a bit high, but if you want great food and great service, this is a very good candidate of places to go.

I adore this place. I have been going for years.
the burger is out of this world.
i love the swordfish.
the fries are to die for.
the regulars who come in are so funny to listen too. the bartenders are all hottt and so are the servers.
the prices are very reasonable compared to other places on newbury st.
the only downside is that they dont take reservations for the patio and you might have a little wait to be seated outside because everyone loves 29's patio. No wonder they got best of boston people watching i sit there for hours some days and just people watch.
go there! you wont be dissapointed i promise!
Pros: staff is awesome
Cons: none

Why woulld you go to 29 Newbury Street and order a poorly prepared, but overpriced strip steak or Maki Maki? Convienince and ignorance are the only two reasons I could think of. The service at this small bistro style restaurant is adquate, but the entrees are way too expensive. Some dishes even top $30. Appropriate for city-center, but not for this quality of cuisine.

We recently went here for Restaurant Week and were completely underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong: the food was good and the decor was just as expected. However, it all lacked a certain panache and incredibleness that we expected after hearing so many great things about the restaurant. It also seems that it'd be a serious dent in the wallet at normal prices.
The main thing that disappointed me was the wine-by-the-glass selection. They've won a ton of Wine Spectator awards for their menu of wine bottles, but that really doesn't do me any good if I don't want to polish off a whole bottle by myself. Then again, I could just be picky in this regard.
