The food's pretty good, and the prices are rather high, but not outrageous. It gets very crowded though, so be careful about what time you go, it can be difficult to hear people talking. Also, they have a downstairs area with a bar (can also be rather unpleasant when crowded). I have to say though, I find it creepy to walk by when people are sitting there watching you while they eat. PS: I believe they also have free wireless.

Sonsie has lasted because it's consistently good and the service is up to par. The menu changes a few times a year but you can always ask about your favorites. They might still be able to make them for you. Have dessert only in the tables up at the front or settle in for a meal in the dimly lit restaurant area. When they open up the French doors in nice weather there is no better people watching on Newbury. I don't live in Boston anymore but you can be sure that I go back to Sonsie whenever I'm back in Beantown.

Sonsie is a a great place to grab a bite to eat and do some people watching. They offer a front area with french doors that they open during nice weather to offer a view of all of the people strolling and driving by. The bar area of the restaurant often gets packed at night. They also have a room downtairs that you can rent out for private parties. Sonsie offers great menus for brunch, lunch and dinner..They offer a full dinner menu until they close at 1am, so this is a great place to grab a late meal. They offer pizzas, pastas, various meat, fish and veggie dishes. The food here is trendy and delicious (the chocolate bread pudding is absolutely delectable).

Great restaurant with a great selection of menu. Romantic place, great for a date, anniversary, or valentine day. You have to make a reservation especially on weekend. Never expect to walk in without any queue. their dessert is just simply the best. However, it is a struggle to find a parking spot, otherwise you park your car in the garage parking.

My friend and I recently went to Sonsie and were seated at a coveted window seat on Newbury Street. People watching was fun there, but the attitudes of the staff at Sonsie leave much to be desired. They are a bit aloof and snooty.
On the other hand, the food was excellent. I had a couscous and vegetable dish that was just AWESOME! Some things on the menu were a bit pricey, but there was a plethora of entrées under $20 to be had as well.
