We've all seen the lines along the side of Filene's during lunchtime. All those people? For a little Chilean place that only has three kinds of sandwich? Yes, my friends, it is true, and it's worth the hype. Get in line because it moves fast. For $4.60 you can get a "small" vegetarian Chilean sandwich that has marinated green beans, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, Gruyere cheese, avocado spread and salt and pepper. It's on special bread that's pretty damn tasty. For a little more money you can get delicious marinated chicken or beef (no peppers on those). The large is the side of your head, so be forewarned. The routine: get in the line to the right to order. When you get your receipt, get in the line on the left. That's where you'll get your sandwich. The line goes down after 2pm and the place is open until 6 if you need a dinner to go. Also they carry Orangina, yum.

The line here can be insanely ridiculous at lunch time, and the wait can be really unbearable when it's cold outside (especially with lots of annoying people loitering around the benches in front). The sandwiches, though, are yummy and unique. The bread, sauce, and combo of ingredients is quite unique. The quality is good and portion is appropriate. The worst thing, though, is finding a place to eat if you don't have an office nearby because the area in front really is not at all nice. Serviceis pretty friendly, and the sandwich will stay hot while you walk to your eating place.

Everyday this place has a ridiculous line that stretches down the block. The worst part about it is that there are actually two lines: the order line and the pickup line. As soon as you get out of the first, you have to then wait in the second. However, it's well worth it.
the sandwiches are unique on tasty bread. Inside, you'll find green beans, a tasty spicy sauce, and tender meat. If possible, come early on a Saturday instead, so you can avoid the line.

The line that extends down around the corner of Filene's around lunch time for Chacarero is a testament to the excellent quality of the sandwich here. They only serve one menu item, but that does not stop people from coming back everyday. The Chilean sandwich on round bread is delicious. You can get the chicken, beef or vegetable variety for all around $6. A rare cheap lunch treat. Open only on weekdays for lunch time, if you're in the area get in line!
