From its less than savory regulars and lack of atmosphere, to its bad design and layout, to its average fare for those cravings during alchohol consumption, The Place has very little to offer. There are one maybe, two television screens for viewing sports as you look to quench your thirst after work and a limited bar selection to do just that. The bartenders are pretty and friendly so for the guy who needs nothing more than a miller or an amstel The Place will do but there are definitely other options in the vicinity if beer consumption is the only goal and that some kind is available the only requirement.

The Place bills itself as a place to see celebrities and watch popular sporting events. This is hard to believe when the celebrities they are touting include the scraps from reality TV and other D-listers. They also do not have as many or as high quality TVs as other sports bars in Boston making this not the best "Place" to hang out. The bartenders here are friendly but the croud is often pretentious and full of celebrity-wanna-bes. There are far better bars to frequent in Boston.
