If you're in the North End without a concrete destination, then it becomes extremely easy to be overwhelmed with the selection of Italian restaurants. In fact, it's almost impossible to decide which one without knowing a little something first. So here's the little something. This place has good Italian food with decent prices. The restaurant's small but has a nice atmosphere with enormous religious murals on the walls and ceiling. It also doesn't seem to be as crammed as other restaurants, so you can breathe easy while still enjoy a good meal.

If Kashmir's a bit up there in price for you, consider this as an alternative. The food quality is a bit lower, but it's standard Indian fare at reasonable prices. Try to go for their buffet (it's like $6). I've never seen it crowded, but it does decent business. Pretty quiet, so it's easy to converse.

Originally went to that restaurant without high expectation but it turned out to be better than I thought. Plenty of seats, conveniently located on Mass Ave near the Hynes Convention Center. Food arrived quickly and sevice was quite pleasant. I ordered Seafood Masala and that was great. Though there were not many pieces of seafood, the masala sauce was very tasty and truly opened my appetite. For $15.95, they did include a piece of lobster. They are opened till 11pm. Great place for a quick meal or to get take out.
