We had a gift card for $25 off that we had purchased specifically for this restaurant. The manager came over and said he would not honor it unless we spent $70 (the gift certificate clearly says minimum purchase of $35). the manager then proceeded to say things such as 'we've had other customers come and this has not been a problem,' as if it is our fault for not being happy that they were scamming us and committing a crime.

Davide is one of the North End's better Italian restaurants. The cuisine here is excellently prepared with an emphasis on gourmet homemade pasta and traditional Italian dishes. The chef here blends the perfect amount of garlic and spices in his food to suit the American pallette.
Service at Davide is outstanding and the prices are pretty much average ($20-$30/dinner) when you consider the area. Convieniently located on Commercial Street, this restaurant is near many area attractions such as the Aquarium and the Freedom Trail.

This is a very special place. The staff, including the owners, make you feel immediately at home and special. They go above and beyond to make us happy each time. The food is amazing, including the appetizers, although the deserts are not much to chose from. There is a room in the back if you are looking for a more quiet and intimate dinner although the front is equally quiet but bigger. The staff is courteous, thoughtful and professional. This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in the North End, if not THE best. The parking can be a tricky as its a good 15 minute walk from the T and its difficult to find parking. Weve been forced to valet park in the cold winter rather than risking the long, long walk.
