My family took my mother to celebrate her 60th birthday, as it WAS her favorite restaurant. I cannot imagine worse service. From the very beginning it was obvious they wanted us to eat and get out. We were going to grab a quick drink before sitting down but the Host insisted we sit right away. The waiter asked us three times in the first 5-10 minutes if we were ready to order and the rest of the night didn't get any better. Taking away plates (or trying to anyway) when there was still food on the table and not asking if people were done. I can't make it any clearer, the service here is abysmal and I am very glad to see a number of other posts saying the same thing.
When you go to a restaraunt as nice as this, and spend the kind of money we did, you should not feel as though you need to rush through dinner.....they completely ruined our night.
There are so many other options for good food, where they appreciate your business....Prezza is NOT one of them.
Pros: None
Cons: Horrible Service with an Attitude

When you open the door of Prezza, you are immediately welcomed as if you were an old friend. The atmosphere is jovial, warm and inviting. Prezza is as appropriate for a romantic dinner as an important business meeting. Everything except the standards are relaxed. The bartenders are knowledgeable, the servers are professional and attentive but (as it should be) the food steals the show. Ordering the pasta in appetizer portions will allow you to sample more of the selections on the exciting menu. I love the steak tartare because I can be sure that the ingredients are of the highest quality. Speaking of sampling all Prezza has to offer...be sure to bring a friend for the dessert sampler. Prices are not cheap but you are getting what you pay for.
Pros: creative menu, flexible

We walked in without a reservation on a rainy Saturday at 5 and were met with an incredulous stare (and a "we HIGHLY RECOMMEND RESERVATIONS" when we had the audacity to ask for a table unannounced. Finally situated way in the back, we had an above average meal with great mushroom soup, good pumpkin ravioli w/ lobster, average taglietelle bolognese, and an interesting grilled squid and octopus. 90 minutes later the place was only 1/2 full and had no line despite our having not made a reservation. They certainly do have a good opinion of themselves. P.S. This is nothing special for the North End.
Pros: Rich flavors, Soothing atmosphere, Attentive service
Cons: Pricey, Hard to find

If you are in the mood for Italian, but are looking for something other than your standard fare, try Prezza. The food is absolutely delicious and they have some very interesting meals. Their gnocchi with the short rib is to die for. And try to save room for dessert, because they have a sampler platter that you can pick any four desserts that catch your eye and they plate them up for you. This place delivers high quality food consistently.

We've been going to Prezza since it opened 5 years ago - the food is excellent and the service has always been friendly and professional. We take many out-of-town guests here and everyone has loved it. Have to disagree with the strange comments by the poster below regarding entrees. Completely wrong. The menu is huge - - the current one has 9 entrees (a favorite is the veal chop with saffron risotto and broccoli rabe) and 4 pastas which can be ordered as apps or entrees (try the chestnut ravioli with duck). Lots of appetizers too - I love the baked oysters with mascarpone and, in the summer, the clam "chowder" (fried and steamed clams on top of a pile of bacon mashed potatoes in a clam broth) and the gorgonzola-stuffed figs. Now I'm hungry.
Pros: Great food and staff, Great wine list , Valet Parking

A very hyped place but not worth it. Staff members were inattentive, had no personalities and were simply rude on several occasions. Entre menu was limited - only 4 pasta dishes and 3 were raviolis. Waitress watched a member of my party spill on her blouse and then walked away without offering any assistance. When she came back 15 minutes later, she was put out that we requested soda-water. This place is too pricey to offer this sub-par service. I wouldn't go back again - regardless of who was paying.
Pros: Nice decor, Appetizers
Cons: , Rude staff

We were seated in the back. Not only did the waiter take forever to come to our table. After our drinks were brought to the table, we again never saw him again for 15 minutes. The food was TASTELESS... I would love to pay anything for good food... This was not good food... I tried a total of 4 appetizers, and one entree. Not even the bread with the olives in olive oil was good. Even the ice in my drink tasted wrong. PREZZA is a huge embarrassment for not only Italian food ... but just food in general!!!!

Just a very average restaurant. Went there on our anniversary and was just so-so.Waited a very long time for our appetizers as well as our dinners. The rock shrimp appetizer was very plain and dry.The boned veal was under cooked even though asked for medium-well and it was greasy. The dessert was very good.. lemmon pie...whew. Also had our car valeted and after dinner, I was told to give the tag to the people at the lot... waited about 10min for them to get my car and was thankful to leave Prezza...never again for that price.
Pros: good dessert
Cons: , valet service, dinner
