I was disappointed in the New England Aquarium. It looks as if it is not well maintained. The building is old, which was expected, but the interior is sad. They could definitely use some updating. I imagined it to be more exciting and I'm sure it was many years ago. I heard wonderful things about it from family and friends who visited when they were little.
There were some nice features. The main tank is located in the middle and goes from the bottom to the top floor. A spiral walkway follows it up and there are plenty of viewing windows along the tank. A the top of the tank you can look straight down to the bottom. The penguin exhibit is entirely open air and can be seen from any floor.
In all, I had high expectations and the fish could have looked happier.

The State Street Smoke Shop is a small cigar and cigarette shop on State Street, near the Financial District. They have a small variety of cigars, cigarettes, magazines, and greeting cards, as well as a small selection of fairly nice wine. It is a tiny storefront, but very convenient for all the office workers in the area.
The staff is not rude, but not exactly friendly. That is the downside to this store. I'd rather buy my wine somewhere where people are a bit kinder.
The convenience of the store is its biggest asset. I believe it is one of the only stores in the area that sells cigars, and they have some decent ones. But I would prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

More
All right, the main attraction here is obviously the bowling. However, if you're unwilling to wait for hours for a lane, then it's still not a bad place to relax and mingle. There's usually a live band, a great drink selection, pool, and cool people.
Indeed, the place gets crowded fast, so if you really do want to bowl, make sure you get here early. Otherwise, you could easily find yourself waiting until closing time on a busy night.

At 2500 sq. ft, the Children's museum is not that large. However, each sq. ft is packed with hangs-on activities.
My favorite activity was the Japanese house, which illustrated Japanese customs.
An interesting part of the museum is definitely the recycle center where you can purchase stuff that was made from recycled materials.
There is a pretty big museum shop in the Children's museum too.

This store mainly deals with camping stuff and outdoor supplies, but they are really cheap and very knowledgable about a lot of stuff. I consider myself to be a very inexperience hiker or outdoors woman, so I was moderately overwhelmed at the supplies necessary. But, the staff was very helpful and even gave me a discount. I got my sleeping bag here for 9 dollars, which I think is ridiculously inexpensive.
