After reading about Jacob Realty's numerous glowing reviews I was convinced that I needed to seek them out for help with buying our first place. Our agent Debbie was gracious and knowledgeable, and not pushy or intimidating. It's a hard process purchasing an place to live, let alone in Boston, but Debbie guided us the entire way. She gave us such personalized service that we felt like we were his only clients (or at least his #1 clients)! With every step he was patient and always willing to talk things out, no matter how mundane the question. She thrives on negotiating on his client's behalf, and we've benefited from his savviness in this regard. She found a place for my husband and I in Cambridge in Harvard Square right near India L A Burdick Chocolates and Cafe of India on Brattle Street. I would not hesitate to recommend her to my closest friends.

Finding an apartment in Boston is impossible, and it seems as though most brokers know this and do their best used-car-dealer impression to sign you to a place in which you are not interested. My experience with Jacob Realty was quite refreshing. Our agent Dave Saggasse was experienced, professional and he worked with us on finding a place that we wanted; didn't show us anything that wouldn't interest us, therefore not wasting our time or his. He genuinely cared about our long term happiness and was almost quicker than I was in saying NO to listings he didn't think would work. Most importantly was that I felt good at the end of the day - not swindled, not anxious, and not feeling like i took our new place just to have something. Long story short - Jacob Realty is the place to go to find great units. The people at Jacob Realty help so much through this process. They are very knowledgeable and willing to be flexible as far as timing goes and working a deal until you get the apartment that you deserve. Dave and his manager Tony went above beyond what was called for to help. They both called the landlord several times and worked out us taking the apartment in the middle of October, which in essence gave us 10 days free of rent. I would recommend them highly.

I had the worst possible experience with this agency. They didn't listen to anything I said and wasted all of my time on places I specifically told them didn't fit my budget or my criteria. I tried to speak to Jacob about my experiences and was treated with complete disrespect. I will tell everyone I know looking for apartments (which, being young in the city is a lot of people) to never use this agency.

I wish I’d found Jacob Realty before going through 3 other realtors and getting absolutely NOWHERE. My roommates and I were looking for a 4 bedroom in the BU area and had great success with Jacob. Our agent, Scott, really took the time to help us find exactly what we needed and well within our price range. It took a whole 5 days to find one we loved really close to campus!
