I worked with one of the agents from this realty company when I was looking for an apartment about a year ago. The agent was helpful, but the apartments that he had available were laughably small, especially in my price range. I saw much nicer, much larger apartments when I used other brokers or agents.

Although they appear nice upon meeting them, I wouldn't advise getting involved with this letting agency/management company. They are extremely disorganized and unprofessional in the way they treat their tenants. Their rental manager, on two occasions, attempted to overcharge me and fabricate stories about past rental disbursements. I'm not sure what they have been able to accomplish in the past but I found them very untrustworthy and would not use them again. Thankfully I moved and only had to endure their shady behavior for one year.

I guess what it comes down to is the idea that at least around here, all of the realtors have the same apartments for rent for the most part and you're just looking for a friendly agent who doesn't try to show you a bunch of "just a little more" expensive apartments to up your fee. Ana Michelon was a great agent, very friendly, easy to talk to and showed me some great apartments. She was easy to contact and kept in touch with me. I was pleased with her service.

As I've written before, at least in Boston, almost every agent has the same apartments, so you're looking for someone who has some personality and experience, and enthusiasm when showing you around. My experience here had a lot to be desired. I wasn't impressed with the apartments or the agent who showed me around. Probably wouldn't go back.

We were very disappointed with Advantage. Their saving grace is a man named Robert, who is very kind and actually helpful. The rest of the employees are rude, insensitive, and unprofessional. They repeatedly entered our apartment to show it to clients without calling ahead, saying that they didn't have our phone number. We gave it to them several times and caught them when they entered once and they had the number right in their phones. They also sent other realtors over to the apartment and gave them they key, saying that they had "run it by T.J." (the head guy)... when T.J. never ran it by us.
Whenever we contacted T.J. about getting something fixed, it never got done. The apartment was in a shameful condition when we moved in, and Advantage was not interested in doing anything about it. I beg you not to use Advantage Real Estate when making your next housing decision in Boston....

Both times my husband and I were looking for an apartment we went to Gibson Domain Domain. Both times, they showed us apartments (and quite a few at that) that met both our price requirements and must-haves. I will go back to them the next time we look for an apartment.

I used to be a supervisor at Starbucks, and am still a regular patron, so I know these places when I see 'em. The Steaming Kettle, the Starbucks near Government Center, is sparkling clean, well-stocked, and the partners (staff) are so friendly you can't help but smile. I enjoy making the extra walk to come to this Starbucks even though it's not the one closest to me, because the experience is just great.

I dealt with two agents of Gibson Domain Domain over several months and have been very pleased with their professionalism and honesty. Apparently, this company prides itself in their staff being professional, honest and helpful to the clients. I learned a great deal from one particular agent and felt that she was a model agent for Gibson Domain Domains mission. I would highly recommend this agency as they know the Boston area and neighborhoods exceptionally well.

I have dealt with quite a few agents from OKiley over the years and have found them to be OK. At times, I felt that they could have been more appropriate and more professional. I had placed my home for sale through one who didnt appear to be doing much other than holding one open house this was over a 6 month time frame. I had asked her how things went when I returned and I was told that two couples came by but she wasnt sure if they were interested or not but that she had given them her card. I later found out that the two couples were infact my neighbors who had just bought into the neighborhood. (I later befriended them and learned of this). She had known them from assisting in buying into my neighborhood and told them to come by if they felt nosey. She should have just told me that only neighbors had stopped by out of curiousity so I ended up feeling dooped. The place did not end up selling and I took it off the market. Later, I went through Gibson Domain Domain and was very pleased.
