Dan Corey - the owner of Ashmont Renovations was recommended to me by another Judy's Book member for some interior painting earlier the Spring (do we have that here?) Dan came in with a very competitive bid and did a great job with the 5-6 rooms we needed painted while we were away on vacation - he even shoveled our driveway out of a 14" snow storm which was way above and beyond the call. The one thing that turned out really great was some stenciling he did while painting our old staircase. Like any contractor, he had to changed around his schedule from day to day, but at 7:30AM you always knew if he was coming or not and easily worked around our schedules.

Honestly, I know nothing about paint aside from it's necessary to add a little color to your life. If you're like me, then this is the place to go. Located on swanky Newbury Street, it's almost surprising that they've been here for years. It's a large store filled with paint and supplies, and you'll find absolutely everything you need. They're also extremely helpful. For example, the guy who mixed our paint willingly rolled it out to the car and helped load it--after they'd already closed.
