You can go there many, many times and it never gets old. The electricity show is amazing (but loud!), and is free with admission. This is a great, fun learning experience for all ages.

Further, the Omni Theater shows are fantastic. If you visit, make sure you see one -- you have to!
PROS: Fun, educational. Omni Theater!

Nice place to visit
I am a member and usually visit once a month. The periodic shows and demonstrations are terrific, and our children were as captivated by them as we were. The fixed exhibits had lots of hands-on activities, and I can say with certainty that we all learned a lot of interesting facts and scientific concepts . The only downside--besides the admission fee--was that our 4-hour visit was too short to see but a smidget of the MOS. So we signed up for a family one-year membership, and can't wait to go back in the spring!
p.s. a basic membership more than pays for itself after two visits to the museum, and parking is discounted as well

This place is like a million dollars but it's totally worth it. You can spend the entire day here just looking at stuff. They have this sweet movie theatre that shows stuff in 3-D. Totally fun.

There is plenty of parking in the parking garage, which is really nice. Unlike most other locations in Boston, you don't have to battle over a parking spot.
Admission tickets aren't all that expensive, and some shows are included. (Such as the Theater of Electricity.) You have to pay extra if you want to to into the OMNI theatre (totally worth it), Laser Light Show (pertty good) and the Butterfly Exhibit (pass on it).
Even though there are tons of children there on any given day, the staff remains friendly and helpful, and the place is spotless. This is a MUST SEE if you go to Boston on a family trip.
PROS: lots to do, inexpensive, lots of parking
CONS: butterfly exhibit leaves much to be desired

The Museum of Science in Boston is a nice museum. They have alot of exhibits. The electricity show is a good one ( my kids love it) The Omni theater is a great take in, you wont be dissapointed. Parking is plentiful in the parking garage. The museum is kept clean considering all the kids that go there. For the most part a good portion of the exibits are in working order. If you dont mind there being bunches and bunches of kids then it is a great take in for the family.

The Museum of Science is great, but not perfect for a few reasons. There are usually throngs of children, but if you're willing to deal with that, it's definitely worth going to! Bring children of all ages and prepare to be amazed by great exhibits of all types. There really is something for everyone in the Museum of Science. Be sure to go in a group if you go to the OMNI, which is also really cool. Admission is cheap. Check it out.
