My client call me to tell me that they had so much fun at Betty's this past saturday , they were visiting Boston with their friends and decided to take me up on my suggestion . They love the food specially the ribs and some new additions to the menu that i will be sure to try when I get back , they also mentioned a dessert called "Slice of Heaven" ( my personal favorite!)and the Tinis made with Sake , to add to their great experience they did not stop talking about the music and the friendly staff . Sincerely yhh. Pros: great tasting experience , amazing flavors !! Cons: you can't see the restaurant sign !

I recently just visited Bettys on Huntington Avenue with my family. When we just got there the restaurant seemed very busy due to the Red Sox game. However, we did get a table quick and sat down. Since we all have different taste in wine, our server, Marcelo was extremely nice and explained to us the differences in their wine selection. At the beggining of dinner we got a little overwhelmed with the menu. Marcelo helped us thru the process and was kind enough to help all of us with our menu. The ambience was super nice. They were playing spanish music which was very well appreciated by my mother and aunt. All the staff seemed very happy and helpful. From the moment that we walked in to the moment that we left, we received innumerous smiles from the staff. The food quality was excellent. They have a salad bar which you notice the fresness of the food and the cleaniness of the kitchen. We all loved our food. I personaly had my own dish that we created with the Hoisin sauce and fried rice. That was extraordinary!!! I highly recommend Bettys as a family restaurant. If you like good food and good customer service, you have to visit. Pros: Good food, good customer service and good location

I called ahead 2 hours to reserve a table for 5 people for my wife's birthday, but was told that they are too busy and cannot take reservations at this time. It turns out the owner was trying to make money from the symphony traffic before the show starts and seat the regular customers after he makes his quick money. We got seated at 7:45 pm, 45 minutes later than what we intended. I think the food was ok, but not good. If you are doing the custom noodle thing, you would go up to the veggie bar and fill up a bowl. They run out of veggies at the bar, and they do not refill quickly. Once you fill up your bowl with the veggies you like, you leave your bowl with the label that was provided to you. In my case, I scraped the bottom of bamboo shoots, and somebody took them our of my bowl since it was left at the bar too long. At the end of the dinner, we asked for plates since I had a birthday cake made for my wife. We were told they have to charge $20 service charge to serve us the cake. That service charge amounts to everyone on our table (5 people) ordering a desert. We were also told that they serve desert and there is no point in them letting us eat the birthday cake without charging for it, in an extremely rude manner. This is after we had ordered $140 worth of food. Overall, the food was average; wait staff was rude; and all the manager cares is to make a windfall gain out of customers instead of making them happy. I will never go to this restaurant again, and I strongly suggest you do so as well. Pros: interesting concept. nice interior Cons: average food, rude staff, moneyminded management

My brother was in town visiting and I had to take him to Betty's. We had a group of 6 and our waitress Jeannette was dancing, singing, and making us laugh the entire night. Even though we had a leisurely dinner they never pressured us and the service was excellent. In fact, the owner even came over to our table and made us feel welcome. The food was phenominal for the price (about $11-18 for huge entree portions) and the mixed drinks were served in pint glasses. The sake mojitos were awesome! We had so much fun that we stayed for hours and it totally made our night. I give Betty's my highest recommendation if you're looking for a fun, unique, and reasonably priced dining experience! Pros: Reasonably priced, fun atmosphere, great service/staff, delicious food Cons: None - Betty's is the best!

My wife and I went to this place on a Friday night because we had just finished work nearby and were starving. We were promptly seated at 6:15pm and ignored for about 10 minutes even though there were at least 6 servers in the place and upwards of 15 empty tables; no water, drink order - nothing. When the server came over ("have you been helped yet?"), he took our complete order. The drinks came out fast and tasted good: the wine list was short but felt complete and the cocktails were fun and tasty. After that we waited 30 minutes during which time no one came over to check on us. We noticed people who had been seated after us had already finished their entrees. We flagged down our server and asked him what was going on, he said sorry and 5 more minutes. We ordered another round. 10 minutes later the guy comes back and tells my wife she has to pick her vegetables again because of a mistake in the kitchen, but the would comp us a dessert. The food was not great, especially for the prices. I would rather any place in Chinatown over this overcooked mess of vegetables and dry as a bone chicken. My wife's dish was cooked in a hurry so all the onions were practically raw. Since we couldn't get out of there fast enough we asked them to comp us a round rather than wait around another 30 minutes for dessert. I have been to this place once before for cocktails and it was fine- the bar staff seem to have it down, but don't bother ordering from the kitchen. Serious disappointment. I'm telling you take an extra 10 minutes to walk down to Arirang House or take the train to Chinatown. Anything is better than Betty's. Pros: Drinks are good Cons: poor service, bad food, booming Aretha Franklin music

I go to Betty's at least once a week with my friends. I absolutely recommend Betty's for anyone who wants awesome food and great service. Junior the owner is there all the time and makes sure you are having a good meal and a good time. The music is great and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. There has never been a time where I have had a bad meal. Just make sure to make a reservation if there is a symphony going on because it will get packed.
