The Buckminster has somewhat of a reputation, and mostly, it lives up to it. My wife and I checked in late at night, and were given a room overlooking the Mass Pike. Needless to say, sleep was not an option with this arrangement, so we asked for a room change. The staff, while very friendly, scrambled to find another room for us, but eventually, they did. The hotel seems to live in a perpetual state of dust, a condition exacerbated during our stay by the ongoing construction. The air conditioning, however, worked flawlessly. "Breakfast" can be eaten at the mini restaurant that is on the premises, but I'd suggest a trip to the bagel shop instead. On the other hand, this hotel is certainly more affordable than other nearby options and is a one-minute walk away from Fenway Park, as well as very close to the Boston University campus. I guess if you don't mind the dust and the shady security, it is a good hotel for the price...
