It is sad, but true. The Julien Restaurant has closed; however, the room is still there and can be rented for functions and parties. The Julien Bar & Lounge is still open daily from noon through midnight, serving bar food until 10 p.m. The Langham Boston's other restaurant, Cafe Fleuri, now serves dinner, in addition to its regular breakfast and lunch service.

Julien is located in the Langham Hotel and steeped in the luxury that is expected of the well-to-do guests that stay here. This is a nationally recognized gourmet restaurant with top notch cuisine and service. Specializing in dishes using French methods of preparation, this is one of the best menus in all of Boston. Expect to pay dearly though in terms of price- it's a little out of control! The service here is excellent, but you might feel out of place if you arrive wearing casual attire.

I must warn you, however, this is not a place that you can even dream about wearing anything less than a suit or nice dress to. That said, be prepared to have your breath taken away upon entering and not get it back until a day later. The decor is over the top (for most), but that is part of the experience. The waitstaff is what you can call white glove and they are VERY attentive (perhaps too attentive for some). This is the kind of dreamy atmosphere that many women dream of the man getting down on one knee and popping a ring out at, and you may just see that while here, along with many other celebrations of life. just make sure your credit card is at a zero balance, since this kind of opulence comes at a price.

Ordered a prix fixd 3 course meal. Every course tasted good and the amount served was just right making you feel not hungry at the end of the dinner. Service was pleasant and dining rooms and seating are luxurious. Live pianist making the dinner more enjoyable. Well, since it is located right in the middle of downtown, at night, the place is rather desert and scary as there is nobody on the street. There is no subway station really next door. After the dinner, you are probably better off taking a taxi if you are not driving.
